Another blu ray movie form group SINNERS. REC is a horror genre movie directed by Jaume Balagueró,Paco Plaza & writhed by Jaume Balagueró, Luis Berdejo, Paco Plaza. I didin’t watch this movie yet, but good score on IMDb and a very high score on RT. On some pages i wisited they say this is a trash gorror movie but still very good. Download video sample for quality check. You have audio in Spanish 5.1 & English 5.1 so enjoy ;-) . I hope this movie SCARES you very much… Here you can watch how crowd reacted while watching this movie. :mrgreen:

PLOT: While covering the night shift at a small-town fire department, an ambitious young television reporter (Manuela Velasco) and her cameraman follow the crew on a call to rescue an elderly woman(Matt Frew) trapped in her apartment. Upon their arrival at the scene, the calm midnight air is pierced by the sound of horrific screams, and the television report takes an unexpectedly dark turn.

    Looks like it would have been good till I saw some of the clips on youtube – who the hell thinks it is a good idea to use shaky/crappy cameras to film a movie? I hope the whole movie isnt like that! Would piss me off as bad as Cloverfield did. Directors need to direct, not throw a camcorder at actors and tell them to have fun.

    this movie, is really really bad. you can’t even begin to compare it to the ring, or even the grudge for that matter. It isn’t scary for one second, in fact, it is more like a parody of a horror movie.

    In the description we can read “1 DVD9, 7.94 GB, 86×95 MB (…) 178 min”, but torrent in NTI is only 4.41GB and 95×47.6MB, and in that torrent nfo it says “Size………: 4.36 gigs” and “Runtime……: 75 min 14 sec”.
    Is this a typo, Nikola?

    Hollywood is already doing a remake of this brilliant film,called Quarantine.
    Get a life Hollywood,I know that you are going to ruin this film even though it will be a scene to scene remake!
    For those who haven’t watched REC,don’t watch the trailer of Quarantine as it contains a spoiler and will ruin this great film for you.
    Hollywood = Crappywood(atleast with the remakes)

    IKA version is 62mins and was released here:

    This version is 75mins i think someone said which sounds right

    AR should be 1.85:1 and the DVD will be released Aug 11th 2008 Region 2 (its a spanish film). I believe the DVD will have an alternate ending available.

    A region 1 DVD release date is unknown, which is hardly surprising as imdb shows it hasn’t been released to theatres in the USA yet, if ever. And an Amercian version called Quarantine is slated for an Oct 17th 2008 theatre release.

    So .. this release by sinners is the right play length and is almost certainly taken from a retail source/image. The IKA release .. who knows .. a heavily edited/censored early limited version from goodness knows where! :)

    Give it a week and I’m sure a divX 700mg release of 75mins will be released :)

    This is an amazing movie and has made me look at other subtitled movies that I may be missing out on. The movie quarantine is an american remake of this movie. If you are going to watch this, do not watch the quarantine trailer as it has spoilers in it. If you like any zombie/infection movies, this is a must see.

    I wonder why the scene teams only use x264 for the 720p encodings… They could use DivX and or XviD, it’s not forbidden as far as I know. And DivX and XviD don’t eat too much memory? and/or? cpu power? than x264 when playing video having height above 480p or 720p or more.

    The NFO says this movie is in both English and Spanish Dolby 5.1 but everywhere and tons of people say this movie is in Spanish and even the trailer isn’t in english. So whoever has downloaded and can confirm…

    This movie is amazing – I saw it – but not everyone will enjoy it – it’s scary, but the camera and constant histery can annoy more old fashion and calm ones.
    The critics saying it’s crappy, the high rates at IMDB and RT and all the fuzz around it only proves how great this movie is and how that scares some movie people… ;)

    No it’s not scary. I laughed so many times because it’s too lame and predictable. Mostly when something pops out of nowhere. IT’S NOTHING NEW, ALL HORROR MOVIES HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR DECADES.

    @ 47:

    divx and xvid are, of course, full HD capable. The reason h264 is desirable is, well, it’s better, that’s it.
    You get more quality at the same size, so, end of story.

    the mkv has no subtitles in it or english audio. it is just in spanish.
