I've been using Ultramon for a long time…that's until i found "DisplayFusion" which also works great in Windows 7.

Ultramon is realy cool, the smart taskbar is very useful. Windows puts all your open windows in the same taskbar (main monitor) but Ultramon keeps the open windows in the actual monitor they're in.

ehh…. I have XP with an ATI-Radeon, which already supports multi monitors….
Except for the two diff. screensavers and wallpapers om each desktop, it already does what this software offers: diff. res on each mon; seq. mon blanks out while screensaver some screensavers works on both screens (the in-build starfield from win is pretty impressive on two mon) etc.

Multi-mon offers me extra screensavers, two wallpapers and an extra taskbar….. ?

O yeah, also lets you quickly change your primary/secondary monitors and set individual resolutions etc etc.

I second that, Ultramon is a sick peice of software. Means you can turn your primary monitor off (or use it for something else, eg, I play PS3 on my HDTV and also use it as my primary monitor) and still get full functionality from your secondary monitor.

Also lets you use dualscreen wallpapers and adjust for height difference etc if your monitors are next to each other, but thats all just superficial really. Immensely useful though.

This program is one of the first to get installed on a fresh OS-install. I've used it for a number of years, and cannot live without it.
I bought a license shortly after I realised how great it was It's pretty cheap.

What is the point of this, really? I have dual screens and there is absolutely no need for either a stretched taskbar or dual desktops. Different wallpapers? Why the need? A nice dual screen massive wall is much nicer, as is also the case with screensavers

If I'm wrong, prove it
