Rambo IV REAL PROPER R5 xVID-UNiVERSAL

I wanted to say it would be funny if this release also needed a PROPER, but then thought about it again and decided it wouldn’t. I’m hoping this is enough of Rambo for a few weeks. UNiVERSAL assure us a movie with no sync problems, but so did ENABLE, so allow me to be skeptical. However, UNiVERSAL will look like complete idiots if this one gets nuked, so that has to work in their advantage. Nothing more to say. Oh yeah, I’m running out of Rambo pictures.

Synopsis: Twenty years after the last film in the series, John Rambo (SYLVESTER STALLONE) has retreated to northern Thailand, where he’s running a longboat on the Salween River. On the nearby Thai-Burma (Myanmar) border, the world’s longest-running civil war, the Burmese-Karen conflict, rages into its 60th year. But Rambo, who lives a solitary, simple life in the mountains and jungles fishing and catching poisonous snakes to sell, has long given up fighting, even as medics, mercenaries, rebels and peace workers pass by on their way to the war-torn region.

    I’m so ready to watch this movie after the multiple postings… I’m not even waiting for a yastorage link! OMG. It will be mine (in about 8 hours! :| ).

    If this one isn’t perfect, I might have to start boycotting certain groups! Seriously, is it that likely that someone will ‘beat you to the punch’ by a few minutes that they can’t run through their excellent work to check for errors? or are errors in the process so common that they get tired of fixing them? If my hamster-powered machine could do it, I’d try the process and find out. :|

    Happy weekend, peeps.

    for those asking about the UNiVERSAL DVDR

    the picture is first rate.

    the audio has the following proplems,

    1. rain sounds auwful, pulsing louder softer, sounds like it’s dropping into mono then back to stereo.

    2. Sync issues, this drifts in out of sync, ranging from not so bad to almost laughable.

    i am assuming this was becasue the only audio available to them was from either the working print or cam, and as we all know the working print was not complete in audio affects, so my guess is that UNiVERSAL used the cam audio and tidied it the best they could, but it’s just not up to scratch

    February 23rd, 2008 | 01:11

    @51

    yeah, i think most of us have realised it’s free – nobody is waiting for “perfection” – we’re just waiting for a decent copy that doesn’t use the same crappy audio track as all the others have.

    bald and universal have acheived nothing other than making themselves look really bad, esp. universal since they claimed to have fixed all the issues yet clearly have not fixed anything. in their rush to be first, they’ve simply announced their poor skills and willingness to pump out low-quality produce – nobody is gonna keep seeding any of those releases for very long – that’s for sure.

    Rambo reminds me of the recent BRENDAN Charlie Bartlett disaster. To this day there apparently is still not an in-sync Charlie Bartlett available. Although some working fixes offered.

    Brendan Lie 1: Thousands of wasted downloads based on Brendan’s claim of an in-sync file at Joox.

    Brendan Lie 2: Although, the Joox comments for the file claim it to be out of sync, Brendan makes the claim that this is only when viewing online – the file IS actually in sync when downloaded he claims = Thousands more wasted downloads.

    Brendan Lie 3: When the downloaded file from joox is identified as being out of sync, Brendan claims that the sync is fixed by converting the file in Nero = More wasted downloads.

    Brendan then demands Miss Bell for 0ral, probably the only regular female poster at Rlslog. Her posts were always cheerful, from a female perspective and with helpful links. Miss Bell vanishes from Rlslog, as many girls would when disrespected on a forum by a triple liar.

    Hopefully, UNiVERSAL has finally cleaned up this Rambo mess and a DVD rip of Charlie Bartlet is on its way! Respect to all. And yes! Bad karma is coming Brendan’s way. FP

    @80

    The average rambo film on imdb has about 25-30 thousand votes, they are mostly in the 7’s but some drop to a low 5. This means that over 30,000 people enjoyed the films. YOU CAN’T NOT LIKE RAMBO. I’ll admit the sequels lacked the greatness of the original, but Rambo has become a household name, he just KICKS ASS.

  81. monade
    February 23rd, 2008 | 10:40

    @86

    What has IMDB to do with a movie’s quality? It is higly subjective. Rambo is trash, pure garbage for the lowest thinking human being, who thinks a manuscript written on a stamp can make it out as “a movie”. If it even was entertaining, I could understand some viewers, but no way: It is so bad, it can not even be described as a guilty-pleasure. Every movieloving – and knowing – person would say the same.

    Have a nice day.

    February 23rd, 2008 | 10:52

    Well personally thanks to the posters for upping it, the crews for (trying or succeeding) to rip this to XViD…as some people have pointed out – it is FREE…u don’t want it, then don’t leech it – chances are if you wait long enought there will be a perfect quality release by someone spending hours sweating over thir kybrd for u – u dont want to risk it? See it at the movies!
    It’s Rambo…like Chuck Norris /Steve Seagal flicks – they’re just wicked mindless kill-everyone-entertainment – i love em!

    @ seaweed

    I’d still recommend “Rambo.IV.R5.AC3.XviD-RkN”. I give the audio 8.5, a) Cuz audio is very good and only rainfall scenes sound slightly hollow: b) Cuz there is but a mild audio delay.

    I fixed the mild sync problems with the two CDs thusly using AVI-Mux GUI: CD 1 add +0100 milliseconds to audio, CD 2 add +0160 milliseconds to audio.

    @ sainthalo

    Christ you’re right, it has suddenly disappeared from TPB. It is still available though at mininova here:

    @95 LOL.

    seriously, is it that hard for sceners to spend a little extra time to check their movies they rip to insure they are correct, before sending them out with the proper information, even if it means admitting it’s not top quality? What few downloaders who actually care about who releases what, might have some actual respect for these groups this way, instead of them being in such a hurry to release poor releases that just piss everyone off. Everything these days needs a proper, and even the propers are screwed up, and I’m not talking about propers where it’s a silly thing like a spelling typo in the filename. Sceners should also spend less time having nuke wars, they should be using that time to actually check their messed up releases and release them fixed. I’d rather wait another day for a good copy of something, than have 15 different propers from groups I won’t care or remember about other than the simple fact they screwed up and possibly wasted my time and bandwidth, and the time and bandwidth of others.

    I would also be curious if releaselog would reconsider a forums board of some sort, so we can keep these posts a bit more clearer. It’s still frustrating reading through 100 posts just to find out if propers are proper and done or still screwed up. I praise people who actually post in caps that something is screwed up so I don’t waste time flipping through 50 posts about off topic movies/releases/name calling/thank yous/cursing/etc/etc/etc.

    And no I’m not complaining about the fact that these are brought to us for free, and that it takes time, effort and risk on the part of sceners, but I am complaining about their desire to release ‘first’ releases that are incorrect, and end up hurting their reputation more, as well as stupid nuke wars (not all nuke wars are stupid, but a lot of them lately seem to be).

    If you have followed my advice for mild sync problems, (if not go here for downloading free AVI-Mux Gui app with very simple instructions: http://www.gromkov.com/faq/faq2004-0064.html), you should have no problems merging CDs 1 & 2. If you do however, try this: http://www.download.com/AVI-Video-Joiner/3000-13631_4-10673738.html
    You have a 15-use trial, and it is brilliant in merging files with different audio bitrates.

    I hope this has been of use to one or two.

    I am mystified as to why TPB no longer has Rambo.IV.R5.AC3.XviD-RkN. Two hours ago I was downloading at 500 kB/s and there were over 1000 seeders!
