Rambo IV PROPER R5 XviD-ENABLE
The previous R5 by BaLD went out of sync sometime during the movie. A lot of people have been waiting for the PROPER and now ENABLE (?) brings it to us. According to NFO, they’ve fixed the sync issues and improved sound quality.
Update: Disappointing. ENABLE did quite a poor job as it’s easy to tell the sync is a bit off just by watching a few minutes. The sound isn’t very good either.
Synopsis: In this latest Rambo installment, John Rambo has retreated to a simple life in a rural Thai village near the Burmese border, capturing snakes for local entertainers, and transporting roamers in his old PT boat. Following repeated pleas, Rambo helps ferry a group of Christian aid workers into war-torn Burma, where the local Karen villagers are regularly tortured and massacred by Major Tint’s sadistic soldiers. The humanitarian mission is going well, until the village is attacked and the missionaries are kidnapped, and Rambo is once again asked to transport – but this time a group of mercenaries, assembled by the missionaries’ minister on a deadly rescue mission. This time he doesn’t stay behind.

I watched the bald release and didnt notice any form of audio syncing problem.

I’m waiting for someone to slow down the R5 to film. I hate PAL speedup.
I added a delay of 300 millisecs in ART version with AVIMux_GUI and also in Rambo IV (2008) R5 x264-JvL (same audio source) and the film WAS very good about sync issue.
The quality of the audio is an other case…

All ENABLE did was take the audio and make it so that the sounds match when it switches back and forth, and they tried putting the sync back in, but with not much prevail. Man, I was eve downloading the Universal DVDR just for better quality, and I removed it!!!
Rest in pieces, Jill, Jessica, Jeff, Snake, Rambosaurus, and John Rambo… I’m done with this sync and repack and rereleases.

Honestly, what is so special about No country for old men.
At least Rambo IV was entertaining. No country..was alright.
But I don’t understand the hype. With only 20 minutes near the ending I fell a sleep. And that is very rare for me to do. And don’t tell me that I don’t understand it. Because there is nothing to understand. The story is very simple. Only the acting can be credited as special. Compared to a classic “The Godfather” “No country…” doesn’t even come close. My guess is that every movie that is made by the Coen Brothers will be hyped or praised even if it does suck.
I seriously dont see how so many of these problems come about. Like are they in such a big hurry they cant take any time to either watch or sync everything up. I could sync up audio in like an hour and i doubt I’ve half the experience. either way lets hope a new proper comes out.

I just downloaded the untouched R5 DVD9 with russian menu etc, just to clear things up the actual R5 english track has the screwed up audio and goes out of sync, hopefully someone can take the workprint audio and mix it….
