If you ever played any of Toca Race Driver series then you have new cookie here. :-) This is new sequel based on that series, published by Codemasters and cracked by RELOADED. But we all know how it goes always when it comes to RELOADED. Yeah, “nuked” already because is “not properly” cracked. And from who we are expecting Proper? Thats right! ViTALiTY! NukeWars, wohoo! :mrgreen:

    very nice, i presume multiplayer is not working without legit key… nfo doesn’t mention this, can anyone confirm?

    it seems to be nucked…some players said(on a tracker) that the game at some point, the game uses more resources that it should. that is because of the crack

    PS: i don’t know for sure if it’s true

    Play rFactor instead,with tons of mods available.
    Including the latest F1 season mod,with Ferrari’s nose hole/vent and Renault’s fins.
    Add to that,tyre wear and flatspotting plugins.

    Shame, well, when they do, EA will have wasted another 4 million $ for nought …. online activation (in whatever form) is a pain for those who dont have access … I bought -Bioshock and when I got home (with no internet) I was a bit stumped …. the people at the service centre said I should just “take it back” – I ended up downloading the crack at a friends house even though I have the legit copy – now that I have internet I still use the crack anyway… dvd swapping isnt the way forward.

    if it’s anything like DiRT then i don’t think you’ll need a key to play online.

    they made no effort to stop people who had pirated copies from enjoying the game online.

    let’s hope they kept that with GRiD.

    If you want arcade,simple,fast game(downloads fast) whith nice,beautiful grafics easy to play and fun you should try Grid,i´m playing demo online(some bugs)and its great,think full game will be even great.

    If you want more pro game whith more options try another game.

    this is nothing like the first assassins (BETA) that was released by RELOADED. if u download this and then its “propered” by someone you could just change the crack. this is a copy of the full game and RELOADED’s crack

    Nice, I played the demo and it looked awesome. Everything installed on high @ 1680×1050 and 16x HQ AA. My computer isn’t even that great so I think everyone should be able to play it and that they have done a nice job @ Codemasters :)

    I also requested Mass Effect earlier this night but to be honest I hope it wont show up here!

    This game has a difficult stand on the PC, so it needs to be sold in good numbers, otherwise Mass Effect 2 will be console exclusive…forever!

    Console games are selling much much better and many developers see the potential. Mass Effect has to be successfull on the PC so sorry @ all the guys waiting for it, but I honestly hope you don’t get it, at least not that soon. After the first week, which is critical for sales, you can have it. :P

    @71: You cannot compare these two games. I’m a rally fan and still actively play DiRT. I will play it alongside GRID. It’s just two different games…obviously. ;)

    And there is at least one thing that is better in DiRT: Force Feedback. I must admit it’s not a fair comparison, because DiRTs tracks used to be rough, while GRIDs are mostly smooth. Still it’s awsome to “feel” every single stone and road hole in DiRT, I love it. :)

    Just played the demo, the only fun I had was from mustang track, the other two is blows (IMHO). Anyway, the special effects and replays look awesome, so realistic, I’ve been playing the demo just to see the replays :)

    By the way, did anyone checked if Codebusters did the same crap with profiles as in DiRT – profiles only works on same machine, even after windows reinstall they get corrupted…
    That’s was the only reason I gave up on DiRT after getting to the top of the pyramid just to get profile corrupted after reinstalling windows.

    The demo was so awesome that I had to buy this game. I pre-ordered it and should hopefully be here tomorrow. Best arcade style racer I’ve played. Beautiful graphics. I think they made some engine optimizations since DiRT because it looks better and runs smoother in my opinion.

    I respect RELOADED a lot. They release a great amount of good games and have done for a long time now. VITALiTY, however, don’t seem as present on the warez scene. Yes, I’m aware this could be a personal view and that lots of people might prefer VITALiTY over RLD, however I think it’s disgraceful that they both vie for so much attention that there are open nukewars happening on public websites. Is this what has become of the scene?

    As far as which party is more responsible… yes, RELOADED did use an emulated crack. Is this bad? Instinct might be tempted to say “yes” because of that word “emulated”… but as I mentioned, RLD have been on the scene long enough to know what they are doing. It might be slapdash in some people’s eyes to use emulation, but personally I think the whole thing is blown out of proportion. Do remember it’s only the game launcher which is emulated… the graphics processing is still done by your nVidia 100000GHz card!

    What should be done is a benchmark of an emulated crack vs. a “pure” crack. I bet there won’t be much difference.

    To summarise the above: the scene standards are falling. Groups need to straighten out their priorities. RLD are still cool.

    btw. did anyone find a way to assign the replay / flashback-controls to other buttons then F1..F4? it sucks to reach over the steering wheel to the keyboard just to press F12 to start the Flashback while you can customize the key for entering the instant replay in the first place.

    Hey guys.

    As a huge fan of the Race Driver series I was looking forward to this however I seem to have a problem with it and was wondering if anyone else had experienced a similar problem.

    The game installs and starts fine, I go to the control options and set my controller up, it assigns all axis and buttons no problem, however when I start a race (any race) the controller does not work. If I press escape nothing happens, in fact the only way I can exit is to press enter which brings up the replay, then I hit escape and it brings up the menu.

    Ideas anyone..? Is it just me or is anyone else having similar problems.

    Any help/advice appreciated.

    UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS POST:

    Just to let you all know that my controller problem is now sorted, seems that all it needed was a reboot. Rebooted and all working fine now, so if anyone else has a similar problem that might be the answer for you.

    As far as the game is concerned it’s not bad, graphics are very nice and controls are sensitive enough (perhaps a little bit too much on the brakes).

    In my opinion TOCA Race Driver 3 was a better game (probably my all time favourite racing game), but this isn’t too bad.

    I’d give it a 7 out of 10.

    well the demo looks and feels amazing so far. im happy with this but i have a slight bad feeling about the reward system flashing up all the time. reminds me of console stuff but this has got the best graphics of any next gen racer ive seen yet

    Do not download the files posted in #53 and #111,they’re the same files and they are not the original RARs from reloaded and you’ll get crc errors in half of the files.To no doubt,CLEP has downloaded the iso image posted in 24 and archived that,tricking people to think his RARs are the original RARs from reloaded.I checked some of his files with the original sfv from reloaded and none matched!!The links posted in #111 are also a reup from the links in #53,don’t waste your time and bandwidth,I warned you!

    You’re all missing the point, this is not a time passer, nor a boring racer or a sim… its the best online multiplayer racing experience to date! That’s where the fun is!! The damage system is excellent too and really adds to the experience – go buy it!! It’s worth every penny! I got it preordered and have it now :)

Hence, I never paid for it.” it has do with the sound i would guess, do you ahve onboard sound? cause thats where dirt gets to its knees, you can check it, when you turn off sound in windows, and you will see how the framerate gets a huge boost in races with more than one car. there is a tweak available out there, that changes the settings of dirt, so you only hear your cars sound in multiple opponents races. that did the trick. and yeah, this game runs so much better than dirt and looks great.

    #121 : just compare Reloaded’s NFS:Pro Street vs the ViTALiTY version.
    Performance gains are very noticable, in some cases you can even play on higher details (comparing ViT to RLD) so stop trolling that a proper way of cracking doesn’t matter.

    @139 (baddab), I’m using an SB audigy so I wouldn’t have thought it was that. Besides, I did actually use the sound mod, gravel, damage & camera.

    The only trick to solve the wierd juddering was to overwrite the hardware settings file with an older one for some reason.

    It can be better than NFS Pro Street (kind similar).
    But the game crash a few in the Demo – must be machine dependent.
    It uses the DiRT engine so it will be a pleasant game (without profile corruption and better performance)

    I got 15 fps average and I couldn’t even play the game with the lag while playing the demo at 1280×1024 with a single-core Pentium 4 @ 3.2 GHz and a 8800GTS (my CPU really sucks my graphic card and my computer)

    In all due respect Pentium 3.2 HT’s are just old. My GF uses my old pc (a water cooled danger den block and dc5 pump) running at 4ghz and it sucks.

    Wolfenstein & COD 1 rocked on it though when it first came out.

    good:
    graphics
    sounds
    based on the DiRt engine
    better multiplayer compare to DiRt

    bad:
    bad interface selection
    no mouse in interface
    crappy controls *need adjustment
    no bigger than 1280×1024?

    final thoughts: seems like a newly polished DiRt game, i still find the controls crappy but the multiplayer experience just makes the game more fun than DiRt. Even though DiRt was more fun driving on offroads with differnet type of cars, GRID is a nice arcade racing game for the professional street racing culture.

    I’ve installed this release (and ordered the game via play.com) and I have a very annoying problem. All of the game seems to work except for the replay : there’s not the replay button after each race and I can’t watch any replay!

    Is this due to the Reloaded release, the crack from Reloaded or my installation?

    this happens when you dont have nvidia or any other hardware company paying you a big amount of money to have it “optimized” on their hardware.

    miroslav3d > Me and 4lighieri have exactly the same problem. We’ve done some research but couldn’t find a solution…

    I guess it’s either the Reloaded release or the crack they gave us that are the origin of this missing replay thing.

    I’m waiting to receive my copy of the game I ordered from play.com to see if this is really the case.

    Thnx alot no. 283 for sharing Skultpra rip….just downloaded it and it got extracted to more then 9 gb……

    game is working perfectly fine, nothing missing, everything is there replay etc…..above all online play is working perfectly…..Thumps up to Skulptra and 283 :D :D

    Alright, the problem has nothing to do with the crack, here is the solution :

    If the game crashes @ Grid Logo, try this, start/run/type dxdiag in run box.

    Select the Sound tab and change Hardware Acceleration to No Acceleration.

    This game does not run. Halfway through the menu or loading screen the game screeches to a halt. There are forum posts everywhere online about people with the same problem. Quit releasing games that aren’t cracked properly.

    Asus board, Intel Core 2 Duo E6750, 4 gigs corsair xms 1066 ddr2, WD Raptor 10k rpm 150 gig drive, creative audigy 4 se, MSI ATI OC HD 3870 X2, legit Vista Ultimate SP1 with all updates, latest catalyst and directx, and I can’t get past the menu it lags so bad.

    Strider, if you are using Vista, try running the game in safe mode first (right click)

    Or make a shortcut with these parameter -safemode

    “X:\Program Files\Codemasters\GRID\GRID.exe” -safemode

    or anywhere you have installed, just add -safemode at the end

    Here’s my specs:
    P4 dual core 1.8GHz,Windowx XP Professional with SP3
    GeForce 7900 GT 256 MB
    3GB DDR2 ram,650GB hard disk,LG L226WTQ LCD

    I’ve finished Assassin’s Creed at 1400 x 900 without any problems.
    Also,the highest resolution I get in in GRID is just 1280.
    I will try the safe mode now and see.Thanks for the help.

    Hopefully they will release the 1.1 patch soon for the game, then Vitality will give us a crack. I have a feeling there has to be a problem because of my dual core processor, vista, or my video card actually being two video cards working together.

    I even bought an xbox 360 controller and hooked it up to my PC for this game and it still doesn’t work.

    It’s just funny I lag at the menu or loading screen so bad I crash when I play Crysis on high at 1920×1200.

    I’ll try the safemode later.

    My xbo 369 wireles controller works fine.Make sure you plug in the controller in befor running the game and wait for the chime from windows that lets you know its working.

    When you here the chime, click on the game icon and launch the game.I have used my controlle fine since the demo with no problems at all.

    Also for those that cant get the replays to work, make sure you have atleast 2.gb free HDD space, as thats where the game stores the replays while you are racing. Ofcourse you cant save the replays, but its still a nice feature to have.

    I am playing this game great right now on my ATI 3870 X2, Vista home 32, Dual core intel 830 3.0ghz, and 3 gigz of ram.

    I love this as much as I do D.I.R.T. I highly reccomend this game to anyone that likes The finest GFX and racing games.

    Game Informer USA Magazine gave the game a rating of 9.0/10, so its already a classic.XD

    REPLAYS are shown IF Drive C:\ or which ever letter is your windows installed has 2gb or more space free… The game records it to a temporary file in your mydocuments folder application data.

    I have an old school computer 775 p4, 7600gs oc’d to GT speeds and ddr 2gb, i can run the game maxed out! no lags! this game by far is the prettiest to look at and doesn’t need hi- end specs!

    This game rocks..this is everything that pro street tried to be bt failed miserably.
