R5 Release Dates for February
Posting R5 release dates slowly becomes a good habit here at Releaselog. The list for January contained many movies, which really appeared in R5 scene rip and Hitman would be probably the most popular of them. Here’s a new list for February (thx Primo): it doesn’t seem that good as previous months though. The main reason is that the major movie hits are already available in dvd screener or dvdrip, thanks to leaked award academy screeners and earlier release dates in USA. The most popular R5 release of this month will be probably Rambo, which should appear sometime around Feb 20. Anyway, check it out, may be you will find something nice to watch.

In my opinion Rambo would most probably be delayed, just like National Treasure.

Check this film out. Remember it causing quite a stir when I was younger. Finally got around to seeing it. Very very good. Excellent Video and audio. If you have 700mb spare and want your other half to hold you tight, download and watch it one evening.

Yes, there is already DVDRip release of “12″ made by the guys from interfilm.ru(2.05 GB) – not really a scene release, but the quality is excellent. The R5 DVD scheduled for Feb 28 is Collector’s Edition and includes 2 DVDs with additional material from the movie.

I highly doubt that Whitey, especially since the dvd will be for sale in March according to my local FYE (For Your Entertainment) CD and DVD store. In fact they have it listed as a March Release on their upcoming dvd release tote board.
Now ask yourself this, why in God’s name would anyone wait for an R5 release until May when they can buy the original dvd in march? Does that make ANY sense to you at all???
The mist is set for a release date on dvd on march 25th according to MGM. That means if there is to be an R5 release, it will be this month or not at all.
National Treasure 2 Book of Secrets is set for a national relese date on regular dvd of either late march or early april according to FYE. A month later the high def/blue ray dvd’s will appear in may of 08 (and this is usually what happens unless it is a box office smash like the first National Treasure was, then they try to get all formats of the DVD to be released on the same date. Otherwise a High Def/Blue ray is released 30 days after the original dvd release)
Now unless someone gets it in gear, both of these dvd’s will be available for sale before the R5 even comes out.

Foggi, since Fred Clause is a Holiday release (read Christmas Movie) I would guess that you should start looking for this on dvd around the dates below

Are YOU Flipping nuts? Rambo is still in theaters and an R5 is almost a dvd release and is set to be released this month if you read the list. And so what if it IS still in theaters? How many times has Disney released a movie AND within 5 months released it on dvd?? I cannot count the number of times they have done it and neither can my parents who have been around a lot longer then either of us.
No matter how you look at it dude, when a dvd is released here in the US the movie is STILL in a theater someplace on the planet considering that the release dates for movies overseas is six freaking months behind here in the US!! That means we have it on dvd WHILE IT IS STILL BEING SHOWN OVERSEAS IN THE THEATERS!!
And finally, It is nice to meet you. I had no idea that the supreme overlord of dvd release dates frequented this site. And if you would have taken the time to look, I stated that FYE had it on their release tote behind the cash register. What that means braniac is that their suppliers MUST have a time set for the release so they can buy it to get it to the stores so you can buy it on the national release date for the dvd’s. Now this date could change, but in the 5 years I have been buying dvd’s from FYE, not once has the dates they have on the totes varied by more then 3 or 5 days.
And “The Mist” is still in theaters, but MGM has already stated that it will be released on dvd 3-25-08. So that sort of blows your theory apart. Dont believe me, then check with the MGM webpage.
So you believe what you want. I will go by what the experts say. (sarcasm intended)

@62 – rock on brother, rock on. NT2 does really, really suck. I liked the first, but the second was a huge disaster. Rambo R5 this month, highly doubt it.
Stop asking when certain movies will come out. Try http://www.vcdquality.com and their list is usually up to date. Nothing future, but has a pretty comprehensive list of movies released.

I’m in Canada, soo yeah… I wasn’t trying to get a definition of release date, I just thought it was flippin’ nuts that Disney would release a HUGE motion picture like a couple weeks before it’s out of theatres IN NORTH AMERICA. Oh yeah, I didn’t think of how while a movie is playing in theatres overseas that it comes out over here, I live in North America so I don’t need to know their release date, bubba. Enchanted I don’t think is out on anything past a cleaned up cam version, and to be honest the workprint of Rambo looks to be like a workprint that was played on a theatre screen, which was recorded, hence the mono (but great!) sound quality, along with the video quality, but the overall quality is pretty sweet of it.
And kk @83, that’s 27 Dresses… you won’t believe how many people at a theatre don’t know the number 27 in 27 Dresses:P

Dont be stupid Whitey, the NT2 was due out the end of march first week of April according to the makers and FYE, but they had a snag in production and moved the date back to may 20th. That means that the store bought dvd will be available on may 20th NOT the R5 release, get that corrected. You have been blasted for this lie before and it seems that you still have not learned from it.
Captain James, if they dont have an R5 of the Mist out by no later them the 5th of march, just wait as MGM says the release date of the dvd in the stores is march 25th. So if they dont have an R5 by then, they probably wont have one as it makes no sense to have an R5 issued later then 3-25-08 if you can go out andd buy the dvd from the store in the first place.

Well you have been told numerous times in different threads when it is coming out and you keep asking for the date so I assumed that you were either blind and using a braile keyboard, or just not reading the answers to your posts.

I don’t remember “asking for the date” of Rambo after this blog post came out, bubba. If you want to try and play detective, be my guest. And wellll I wasn’t trying to start a war, I just couldn’t believe that National Treasure 2 was coming out in March… But I do agree with you about the part of downloading the R5 in May if it does come out in March, but chances are that if the dvd’s out by then, we would see a dvdrip well before May. Come to think of it… If the dvd is due in March, then rental stores would get it 2 weeks in advance at least, and we’d see a dvdrip copy at the beginning of next month, which is believable, I mean we haven’t seen copies of it in months…
But it’s nice to hear your replies, even if they are a little late… But then again the supreme overlord of dvd releases frequents this site at least once a day to check up on things!
