R-Studio v4.2.Build 125098 Winall-BRAiGHTLiNG

BRAiGHTLiNG guys released newest build of R-Studio - popular data recovery software.

Description:

R-Studio is a family of powerful and cost-effective undelete and data recovery software. Empowered by the new unique data recovery technologies, it is the most comprehensive data recovery solution for recovery files from FAT12/16/32, NTFS, NTFS5 (created or updated by Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista), HFS/HFS+ (Macintosh), Little and Big Endian variants of UFS1/UFS2 (FreeBSD/OpenBSD/NetBSD/Solaris) and Ext2FS/Ext3FS (Linux) partitions. It functions on local and network disks, even if such partitions are formatted, damaged or deleted. Flexible parameter settings give you absolute control over data recovery.

R-Studio utilities recover files:

  • Deleted without Recycle Bin, or when Recycle Bin has been emptied;
  • Removed by virus attack or power failure;
  • After the partition with the files was reformatted, even for different file system;
  • When the partition structure on a hard disk was changed or damaged. In this case, R-Studio utilities can scan the hard disk trying to find previously existed partitions and recover files from found partitions.
  • From hard disk with bad sectors. R-Studio Data Recovery Software can first copy the entire disk or its part into an image file and then process such image file. This is especially useful when new bad sectors are constantly appearing on the hard disk, and remaining information must be immediately saved.

    Sorry for the offtopic, but am I the only one getting server not found errors when trying to load this page. It takes me multiple F5’s to display the page, and sometimes, it won’t work at all.

    I’ve had good luck using bootable linux CDs (’damn small linux’ is what i used) to access a harddrive even when windows fails. Personally i only needed to recover documents so i uploaded them to a webserver, but you could mount an external hard-drive and transfer stuff probably

    Same here. Seems like I have to refresh 2-3 times for it to load.

    Hello Hello..

    Again I am not a pro so please if I say something stupid i do appologize:

    Recently I had some time to re-look at 2 drives that had busted to try and retrieve some of the data on it from, a IDE 80gig Maxtor (crapped out) as well as a 60gig IDE laptop drive (partially formated with bad sectors…crapped out as well)…there were 3 apps that had come across…only ones that i could find at short notice:

    Notes: Both drives had multiple bad sectors and could not be read by the OS (Vista as well as XP) Formatting was not even an option…

    1) R-Studio (OK)
    2) RecoverMyFiles NTFS (Crap)
    3) EASEUS Data Recovery (My recommended)

    I am going to skip right over RocoverMyFiles because it was totally useless and i was not able to run even a partial can on any of the 2 drives because of the bad sectors.

    Ok…R-Studio…when i first installing it I was pretty impressed with all of the different options there were as well I was able to at least run a full scan on 1 of the drives (maxtox) and a partial scan on the other (laptop) and was able to retrieve my data back and was pretty excited about it. A big problem was that the drive with a crazy about of bad sectors kept on stalling my PC…not the best in the world so it might need a stronger machine but still it is a nice app

    My Recommended…EASEUS Data Recovery…When i first ran the app it looked quite ‘kiddy’, so was a little skeptical. Also there was not real way of determining if it was working at times because of the simple interface. The scan took a whole 14hrs (60gb) but I had all my data recovered on the partially formated drive with multiple bad sectors (laptop drv) and could not be happier..and on the 180gig maxtor it only had to do a partial scan and i had access to all my data…was pretty suprised with the results with such a simple looking app…

    this is just my 2 cents…and again there might be better options out there…but this is what i found out ;O)

    thanks…RLSlog for all the work and hope you work out the kinks with the new DNS….

    If you ever need something undeleted, this program should be your number one choice!
    I had a corrupted MBR on one of my hard drives and it worked a treat!

    Actually in my experience many of these recovery programs perform very similarly with the interface being the biggest difference. I like R-Studio since it has an option to recover over a network. GetDataBack is another good one.

    As far as why some software seem to work better than others, it often times is related to the hard drive itself if it is suffering from a physical malfunction. Then it might just be a matter of luck — sometimes the drive will spin, sometimes it wont.

    One thing I should point out: R-Studio is currently the only app that recover content even from a NTFS volume with severely corrupt or nonexistent MFT. I have seen it do that with my own eyes!

    This program will definaly help you out…as will the others suggested above. ‘Poopsnorkeler’ makes a very good point…this is the only one that would recover files over a network…

    You should definaly try this app and you will be able to see the drive once you plug it in via USB adapter within this application and then you will need right-click to drive to scan..

    Once completed you will be able to see any partitions that still have data on it…and you should be good…

    Hope that this helps ;O)

    R-studio roxx bigtime- has saved my ass half a dozen times on even corrupted raid 0 partition consisting of 4×250gb wd hds. I just hooked my external 1tb and was able to recover and then restore the raid partition which xp was failing to recognise. This app excels in data recovery and is also quite fast at it ,even if your machine is old p4/athlon based.

    @19 Jenny - If your disk is working ( i mean spinning ) and theres not an apparent hardware problem,windows may not b able to recognize the disk but r-studio will if there is/was some data on it. Just make sure u have another disk to back it up with enough space and never ever try to recover your data on the same faulty partition/disk.

    FWIW, it is my experience that QueTek File Scavenger works better. R-Studio is OK for undelete and RAID 0 reconstruction, but I’ve never been able to reliably recover RAID 5s with it.

    Apart from installing the software, the first thing you should do is to put the HD in the freezer for about 20-30m.
    Have everything planned out from the beginning to minimize the time between the freezer and the computer.

    Before running this or another software, see if windows will id the drive again, if it does and you can see the files, start MOVE everything over one folder at a time until the drive stops again then rinse/repeat
