I will make a small exception in our posting standards once again and post a non scene release, but I’m pretty sure this release is worth it. A TorrentLeech user KingBen released a telesync of latest Bond’s movie Quantum of Solace and the quality is pretty watchable. As most of you know, there’s been a Russian telesync floating around for few days so it was just a matter of time until someone synces it with English audio. There are few parts with no English sound though, so be prepared to hear bits of Russian language. Don’t expect too much, it’s just a first copy, but if you are eager to see the movie, this is your chance.
Quantum of Solace’ continues the high octane adventures of James Bond from ‘Casino Royale’. Picking up literally days where the previous film left off, after being betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Having captured Mr. White, and in pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and ‘M’ interrogate Mr. White who reveals the organisation which blackmailed Vesper to steal Bond’s casino winnings is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined.

the way the scene is in the current climate most of the good stuff is now coming from kingben/stg/jambo/empire etc-not talking here about dvdrips etc which the usual groups still bring us but for current cinema releases these guys are getting better and better-kb and stg even have their own sources for direct sound that others do not.
you should seriously consider posting all their releases-what do you think the people who visit here would rather have-a good quality james bond 0r a dozen national geographic docs?

Saw this at the cinema this week and it was very very good.
In fact, I would go as far as to say that this was the best film I have seen this year – but this year has been a bit for for good movies other than Batman.

Although KingBen is not a scene group, he’s amongst my favourites when it comes down to improving other guys releases. Unlike aXXo who re-encodes/resizes/downsizes KingBen always prefers quality and x264 codecs. He even made this TS watchable (up to a certain point).

I hated the movie. “Casino Royale” was stylish and badass, this one re-ruined the franchise for me. badly used shaky cam action, a ridicoulously frantic editing, a dumb hole-filled plot, and worst of all a horrible performance from Craig, who turned the interesting “tough bond” from CR into a brain dead, stone faced moron who shoots almost everyone in sight and has no style or humanity. Worst movie of this year.

Calling KingBen another “TorrentLeech user” is like saying Elton John is another piano player. KingBen is responsible for about 1/2 of the pre-R5 releases out there worth watching, and every time his fingers touch a TS or a CAM you know it’s watchable, in fact most of the time it’s very close to Movie quality. This guy is the best at what he does, please be respectful.

To be honest, I’m not prepared to download this becuase the quality is not good enough for my standards. if ‘the scene’ or ‘kingben’ or whoever wants me to download a copy of this movie they will have to make one that is better quality.certianly, i wouldn’t be prepared to pay for this version. maybe i would watch it if it were free..

Video quality is watchable, the sound is acceptable but there are several long breaks in audio, one of which lasts in excess of 3 minutes.

@34 – That’s nice to know – but I think a better TS might come out before then. I’ve seen a number of KingBen releases and I’ll say this … he puts forth effort to do a good job. He doesn’t always succeed completely – but the effort is noticable. This is a fair copy for those who desperately want to see it.
One other thing – and someone else has already mentioned it. While some of the audio parts are hard to understand and other areas of the film are silent, I was able to follow the story line well enough to say that, in my opinion, “Casino Royale” was a superior film. This film just seemed too rushed and nearly emotionless – like everyone was trying to do their best Mr. Spock imitation.
As a long-time Bond fan, “Casino Royale” recharged my batteries for the franchise. “Quantum of Solace” drained them a bit. I hope the next Bond film is better.
The audio in this release is NOT line audio. I d/l and the video quality is good even for a telesync but it has that hollow audio from a cam.

Just finished watching this release, video better than expected very watchable , audio is a little out of sync in some scenes and sometimes no audio at all for several minutes.

Do NOT watch this. Its missing big chunks of audio. the audio that is present is very hollow and not understandable. the video is mwah, you can follow thru the movie but in the action seqeunce you wont understand shjit.
For me it ruined the movie cause i broke my own code of not downloading cams and i directly knew why i dont do that. The movie is always better in good quality. If you watch this on a plasma big lcd DONT download it.. maybe on a laptop you wont notice how much it sux..

This xvid worked on my Oppo, but not on my Philips. At the beginning sound is missing, but no dialog is lost so its not bad. This is good enough to watch, only if you can’t wait.

@89 – So far, this is the best version I’ve seen – with the following exceptions:
1) The first 50-or-so seconds are completely silent.
2) The first three-quarters of the movie are roughly two-tenths of a second out-of-sync with the audio. Then, in the last quarter of the film, it comes back into sync.
3) The releaser put a yellow watermark saying “KING RELEASE” about half-way through the film (45:10 – 46:13). It stays on the screen for over a full minute, centered in the lower part of the active frame and roughly 26 pixels up.
But, except for the very beginning, this is the one release where sound exists during the entire film … and pretty good sound at that. An earlier poster said an R5 would be out in 6 weeks. Until then, this release might be the best there is.
I watched it from my 15′4 laptop and it was fine.
For a CAM, it’s really good. Sometimes the audio line doesn’t quite fit, but overall nicely done.
