Noodlabs released Dvd rip of the movie Purple Violets. This is drama\romance genre movie directed & written by Edward Burns. Quality of this release is very good. On IMDb this movie has a 7.3 score , but again very small amount of votes. I think this movie is not bad. Watch trailer maybe you will like this movie. Plot:
Patti Peterson is a promising writer, but her marriage and conventional job keep her from her dream. She longs to return to her writing, especially after running into her first love Brian Cahill, a successful crime novelist. Kate is Patti’s best friend since college. She’s a tough-talking schoolteacher who plays therapist to all Patti’s problems, while she’s got a few of her own. Despite Brian Cahill’s gorgeous Tribeca loft and perfect house in the Hamptons, he longs to write works of greater literary value. Murphy, his lawyer and best friend from college still carries a flame for his former girlfriend Kate, even though their relationship ended badly years ago, and she still holds a major grudge. When Patti sells Murphy a new apartment, and Brian publishes his personal novel, these old friends reconnect in unexpected ways with surprising results.

    The reason why no one has heard of this movie is that Ed Burns couldn’t get a distribution deal, in other words it was rejected by the industry. Rejection isn’t personal, it’s about money, people will buy crap like “The Blair Witch Project” and repackage it and market the hell out of it if they think they’ll make money! Proof:

    Thanks for this one, Nicola! I’m a big Ed Burns fan. (I’m Irish and have two brothers - just like in The Brothers McMullan!)

    I think you’re wrong to assume that if a film can’t get a distribution deal that it’s a bad film. I give credit to Ed Burns for going a different way with his film and distributing it on the Net. He’s got stones. And, IMO, he’s ahead of his time. Other indie filmmakers will follow his lead.
