Public Enemy Featuring Paris - Remix Of A Nation (2007)

It’s really hard to meet everyone needs and favourite music style in the music section, but there are some albums which are more popular no matter the style you prefer. Remix of a Nation from hip hop band Public Enemy will surely make happy all fans of hip hop and may be also those people who prefer different styles. You can download it now as a cd rip, although it was already available on the internet almost one month ago.

Produced entirely by Paris for his Guerrilla Funk imprint, this album is intended as a supplement to Rebirth Of A Nation, and is presented with alternate mixes that have a more noise-oriented, classic throwback vibe. From the War on Terror to racism to black-on-black crime and police brutality, every topic is covered, and Remix Of A Nation is a sonic onslaught aimed at the wrongs of society as only Chuck D and Paris can - only this time out they are joined by fellow revolutionary allies dead prez, Kam, Immortal Technique and The Conscious Daughters - all with striking effectiveness.

In an era where buffoonery is encouraged and rewarded by big business hell bent on the degradation and exploitation of people of color in the name of profit, Remix Of A Nation is a welcome and necessary elixir. With strong beats and rhymes, it poses the questions many choose to avoid, and offers solutions many choose to ignore. A landmark achievement.

I’ve got nothing but love for PE. I grew up listening to Nation of Millions and Fear of a Black Planet, but their latest album (of which this is a companion piece) is a ghostly shadow of their former glory.

I’ll stick with my memories most fond.

Public Enemy is a matter of presenting the violence and subjugation, hate and fear that are thought to all of us
as we grow up, and how the “mass” learn not question these
    things.

eitanois, read a little bit more.

The original album was fantastic, but i’m biased, i still have my Nation of Millions tape, even though I don’t own a tape deck anymore.

Read more about Paris and Guerilla Funk Records, especially the Guerilla Funk Wealth Builder. Paris is an investment banker, in addition to his activism and music.

Paris is the original and best hip-hop artist there ever was.

I don’t like much hip-hop music really (Cypress Hill, Delinquent Habits, Roots Manuva), but I more importantly respect what Paris has done for the scene.

I mean, he MUST have done something right for the overwhelming majority of rappers to constantly rip and sample his tunes for years and years and years and …….
