Psycho 1960 DVDRip XviD iNT-PFa
Even my father was not born at the time that this movie was released. But It has the #22 spot at IMDB Top 250 with more than 70 thousand of votes. I’m not sure if I will watch this movie but I will wait for the comments of people who have seen it, to tell us if it’s worth it! On the other hand, there are people who love Alfred Hitchcock and might want to this just because of him. Enjoy!
Marion Crane works at a Real Estate Office in Arizona. She has a sister named Lila and a boyfriend named Sam. She wants to marry Sam, but the two do not have enough money, since Sam is still paying off his ex-wife’s alimony, and she has a small job at Lowery’s office. One Friday, December the eleventh, Mr. Cassidy, a rich oil tycoon, comes to the office to give Lowery $40,000 to buy a house for his daughter’s wedding present. Lowery asks Marion to deposit the cash and she said she would. Instead, she packs up and heads for Fairvale to see Sam, with the money in her purse. She ends up at the Bates Motel where she meets Norman Bates, a troubled young man who seems to be obsessed with his Mother. After Norman feeds Marion dinner, she goes back to her room for a shower…

“Even my father was not born at the time that this movie was released.”
Interesting way to start a post. Maybe we can get our grandfathers here to comment on this…
I suppose there’s no way to be #22 on IMDB’s Top 250 other than being really, really good! I will definitely watch it!
Lately I’ve seen “12 Angry Man” from 1957 and one and only one conclusion comes to my mind right now - nothing can beat old movies… 1985’s “Runaway Train” is also in the queue ;-P
Oh come on don’t tell me you haven’t seen Psycho and the famous shower scene…
It’s hard to judge it as a horror movie by today’s standards, because it’s not really scary - it wasn’t for me at least. Still it’s a movie that defined the genre in many ways and the ending is just awesome.
I wish someone posted The Birds here - I remember it really freaked me out (I was a bit younger then though)
o fuuu. i don’t know anybody that haven’t seen that movie, not in cinemas but in tv. may be you seen it bay other title.
I love the film.
But the several times i saw it again with friends, they weren’t as stunned as they could have been 50 years ago.
To me it is still very very modern.
Except the very beginning as she leaves town.
But from when she drives in highway in the rain to the end it is twisted ans spooky as fook.
Only Lynch came close to that me think.
i’ll grab it
Worth the download just to add a piece of history to your collection.
“I wish someone posted The Birds here ”
You do realize they just post up torrents, they don;t release them, so you could easily search the sites used for these torrents, or basic indexing sites, for the Birds.
Demonoid would be a good bet for something old like that. Shit, now I want it
Demonoid is a very good site for good old movie
If demonoid is a good place for old movies, I NEED to get in there.
Ant btw enjoy discovering Psycho, u lucky brat.
yeah well known movie, hitchock, murder in the shower, everyone saw that
Wow, I really feel old since I was born 4 yrs before it was released! It took me many years before I was brave enough to watch it, because it was written and talked about for years as one of the scariest movies ever and back then it was. Millions of people were afraid to take showers after watching it and that scene was copied in hundreds of movies including being spoofed in comedies. If you watch it now you will see how it has influenced many of the recent horror movies. It scared me really bad when I was in my 20’s and I think it would still weird me out today.
Best use of hershey’s syrup in a movie.. ever.
Definitely one of the best movies every made. I’m sure there aren’t as many people that will appreciate this movie, especially since nowadays horror has been dominated by slasher/gore flicks. But Hitchcock is the master of suspense. However, for its time, this was a pretty graphic movie.
its a true good classic movie.. dont miss it if u havent seen it. even if its from the 60’s its at that time a reasonable horror. Not like all those bs college-horror flicks..

I think you can not claim yourself a moviefreak, if you havent seen this one. Thousands of scenes (from Simpsons to real movies) are based on this film. Must see!
i have already grabbed it. but later on ill check Code The Cleaner first
Calling psycho a horror is wrong, should be calling is a suspence thriller.
Horror as a genre has changed in the past 15 years and it would be hard to class most of Hitchcocks works as horror today. Thrillers more likely.
Still no torrent? Hmmm… can’t use pearhub, their site won’t open.
It’s definitely a classic. But also probably the weakest Hitchcock movie. He was a master of suspense and has made a lot of movies that are much better than this (although they aren’t so well known).
There’s a torrent on TorrentSpy (although tracked by Demonoid) that seems to be working well. It’s an avi format and kinda big so hopefully it works. (I’m downloading it now) Anyway, here’s the link: http://www.torrentspy.com/torrent/1138914/Psycho_1960_DvDrip_Eng
The baby-boomer generation remembers this as the movie that scared the shit out of them when they were kids, but does it still live up to the hype 50 yrs later? I’m not sure. Actually I think “The Haunting”, made just a few years later, probably holds up better.
