PS1 Backups now playable on CFW
Hello, from now i will try to post daily/weekly news about PS3/XBOX360 scene. You all know i’m a fuck*** game freak !

Good things always happens when you away from the PC and ‘net, and in this case it is DOUBLE-WOW, this is a quote from a thread from a German PS3 Developer called ScHeVeNs. Him posts explain how he was able to get PS1 Backups working on any Jailbroken Sony PS3 Console:

-go to filemanager mode,

Tada, your Ps1 Backup will now boot and you see the PSLogo Bootscreen.
maybe this works also on PS2 Games Backups but i have a PS3 slim....and can not test this!

In 02.07.06 the PSX and PS2 discs are properly detected.
PSX discs will show in XMMB Game Column and you can launch the PS1 game from there. It uses ps1_emu.self. If you press [TRIANGLE] over a PSX game icon you can pick to load the disc using ps1_netemu.self (Net).

I tested PSX burned to CD-R and it worked, so I can confirm that it works with some games.

It is really nice to see PS3 developers working together and within hours multiMAN directly supports ScHeVeNs neat trick!

To prevent the save game bug you will need to go into your memory card slot in xmb (ps/ps2) <something like that and create a new memory card and set it to slot one. then play your ps1 games

\my friend gorgo well he was gonna release the full exploit method to run games on 3.70 but he decided to give the secret to the spanish guys to sort out
well if you need help to jailbreak if u r on 3.50 u can downgrade with a e3 downgrader method i used lighttake.com a good fast reliable company from hong kong and fast shipping
if u r on 3.72 and higher u can flash it back and downgrade it to 3.41 now alot of new games wont work on it u need to install cfw 3.55 and get the usb cobra manager i was lucky enough to see it working the ps1 boot up
u need to boot it up via imageburn onto a cd-r disc rip it onto your ps3 harddriven running got ridge racer working fine before we went bed so it be worth it downgrading it
on ps3 on firmwares over 3.55

so my advice get the e3 downgrader and stick on the 3.55 cfw and get moving it be worth the money usually ask around chinese electronic console shops they might put you on the right path
