Once again the professional critics have a different opinion about a movie than the “standard user”. IMDB rates this with a good 7 out of 10 (7000 votes) while RottenTomatoes just give this a 21% fresh. Personally I can just rate the plot, but it appeals to me quiet well… Quality wise I cant complain either. Video is not that crisp, but still very well for a 1 CD RIP. Check the movie sample for your own opinion.

Synopsis: Holly Kennedy (Hilary Swank) is beautiful, smart, and married to the love of her life-a passionate, funny and impetuous Irishman named Gerry (Gerard Butler). So when Gerry’s life is taken by an illness, it takes the life out of Holly. The only one who can help her is the person who is no longer there. Nobody knows Holly better than Gerry. So it’s a good thing he planned ahead. Before he died, Gerry wrote Holly a series of letters that will guide her, not only through her grief but in rediscovering herself. The first message arrives on Holly’s 30th birthday in the form of a cake and, to her utter shock, a tape recording from Gerry, who proceeds to order her to get out and “celebrate herself.” In the weeks and months that follow, more letters from Gerry are delivered in surprising ways, each sending her on a new adventure and each signing off in the same way: P.S. I Love You.

    Finally… You people will not believe this, I was unable to open RLSLOG for 3 days straight… I started to fear that it is down permanently, fortunately it isn’t so… phew!
    I was getting the message: “Connection Interupted” I tried on 3 different computers and all gave me the same message!

    About the movie I think it is quite good movie to watch with your girlfriend (if you need to get some…) :-) just joking, I’m not into romantic comedy but it is a fine movie!

    This sounds like its worth a look…great to see rls log back – its my homepage so it was weird when it all went wonky for a bit..

    watched this last week – gotta be the most depressing film i’ve seen in years.

    its a story about a woman whose husband dies and she has to pick herself back up again – but every time it looks like the movie might become positive, something bad happens. i bet the EMO’s love this movie!
