Wooohoooo! finally for us xbox 360 users here is the release of the highly anticipated game “Prototype”. Ive been dying to try this and Infamous for a long time now (Infamous is only due out today here in Australia), ive heard some really great things about both of them. This is region free so all users can enjoy! 
In Prototype, players take control of Alex Mercer – a dark, genetically mutated shape-shifter with no memory of his past, hell-bent on solving the mystery of his existence as he tears through a densely populated New York City moving with Parkour-style fluidity and consuming anything that gets in his way.
‘Deceive or Destroy’ gameplay allows gamers the choice to either blend in with the population and covertly progress through the story, or fully unleash Alex’s powers, and move through New York City like a walking slaughterhouse, taking control of military vehicles, and causing destruction at every turn.

I was wondering if anyone has a decent grasp of Microsofts' policy of banning people who play games early. I know that they can tell when you play via achievements (so even offline play doesn't matter) but do they ban people purely for playing early??

Note* That if you play this game, even offline, once you sign in to the Live network M$ will be informed that you played it and you have a chance of getting banned. The 360 software is somewhat intrusive and reports any usual thing you do. Well not "any" but stuff like this.

I have been waiting for this game to decide whether to buy inFamous or not. inFamous is definitely a nice game, but i have a feeling this one (which coincidentally is quite similar in the major aspects of the game itself) is going to surpass itself. The powers that you have in this game is definitely more varied.

To the guy who says microsoft will ban you based on when you get your achievements:
reset your clock, then all your achievements will be recorded as having been unlocked years ago. If you unplug your 360 for a while it resets automatically. I seriously doubt microsoft ban people from live for something like that.

To the people asking about banning and how to play the game…
Obviously you can't play it online. So unplug the Xbox or disable the wireless. Set the system clock to a LATER date, as in the games release data. Create a second profile to play the game on before it's release, that way when you want to play online nothing will come up (as long as you don't sign in with the second profile). When the release date does come around, you can probably transfer the save to your active profile by doing so in the system memory (might not work on all games though, it didn't work for Fallout 3). When you do go back online with you active profile, the system clock will set itself to the current time.
How to play burnt games : In order to flash the 360's dvd firmware, you need six things. A T10 screwdriver bit, available at any hardware store. An eyeglass kit screwdriver. Either a PC that has SATA AND an NFORCE chipset, or a PCI SATA adapter (there is a preferred card, google it). You also need the newest hacked 360 firmware and a tutorial, both of which are available at http://www.360mods.net . READ THAT SITE, especially Textbook's tutorial. Go to the forums if you have trouble. You also need to know your way around a command prompt for some of the flashing methods, although some windows methods now exist (I still do it through booting through DOS with a USB stick and command lining it). I spent about two days going over the flashing process, to make sure I would not make any mistakes and I implore you all to do the same.

the street date isn't till the 9th so why would you expect it any sooner? I'm assuming it has some kind of date activation on it too so I doubt the cracks will arrive untill a few days later anyway
@ 96: I doubt that. I think that if it's leaked before the release date it'll be leaked with a proper crack. I just don't think the PC version is going to be leaked before the release date. The fact that an XBOX version was leaked does not imply a leak of the PC version.
I thought that since the xbox version was leaked it would be highly probably that the PC version would be out prior to the street release date too?

This game is awesome!!! The graphics are beautiful, and the destruction is incredible. Its very fine-tuned as well…. definately a must buy!
this game is not region free.. used imgburn at 2.4 x speed,
doesn't work on pal xbox.

your firmware is out dated…you cant play the 3rd wawe on your xbox360…
if you updtate your firmware (you'll need to reflash the dvd drive)than your console recognise the dvd as a game not as a dvd movie…

got the same problem as 101 and 102, and i know for sure that my firmware is 1.6 and all i get is "play dvd". tried 3 different brands off dl discs also.

Cause iXtreme 1.06 has released not that much time ago.
Maybe you have installed wrong firmware or something.
I sometimes have periods all my games get regocnized as DVD (games that used to work) but that problem always solved itself after few hours not using my xbox.

what's strange is that all my old 360 games are working. (wave 2) this is the first wave 3 i'm trying, except for wanted, but i patched that one.
gonna go find a tutorial on how to flash the drive now, and try reflashing it. A friend of mine did it last time and i just texted him and asked if it was 1.6 he put.

try updating your firmware to be compatible with 3rd wave stuff…

if anybody else know they have fw 1.51 or 1.6 and only gets the "play dvd" try to clear your xbox cache memory, worked for me
My Xbox > System Settings > Memory > Device Options (press Y highlighting the harddisk) > X, X, LB, RB, X, X > "YES".

You have to crack the PC version which is why the 360 version always leaks first.
aaaawww!! the first time i saw this game was when it was first annaunced by radical, and i thought it looked awesome and have been waiting eagerly ever since, checking for news and videos regularly, knowing that it will be the greatest game ever. no such luck for me, I already had the latest xbox update on my system, tried burning that but just keep getting 'mixed data disc.' So at at the moment I'm considering buying the game to get the update, and then sell it again instantly to play the patched iso :/
I wouldnt be touching a pc version from mininova etc till it gets posted here at least. Due to the anticipation Im sure some shmack will post up a fake version riddled with viruses or spyware.

I have downloaded this game and it says that the disk is dirty and it is unreadable. I used imageburn to verify it and it said the data was ok. I have iXtreme 1.6, I have been able to play wave 3 games.
My first guess was the lens was dirty, I blow the tray and I changed disk. I tried and I played Fall Out 3 for around an hour without any trouble, later I inserted Prototype disk and I couldn't get it to work. I tried to install it on the HD and at 39% it stated that the game is unreadable. I even tried the "maintenance" option erasing the cache, but nothing changed.
I tried abgx before running it, it didn't show any error, it showed the same result as the image that has been posted in a lot of places on internet. I used Imgburn the first time and Cookies Burner for 360 the second one. I used Sony disks on both, both disks showed the same error.
Do you know if there is a way to fix it or to detect the trouble source?. My drive is a Benq, if that helps a little.

I typed the name of one of the files listed in the torrent in google and that's what the file came up as–Ninja Gaiden II. Someone just repacked it and is calling it Prototype.

I'm not sure myself; I keep clicking on the link but nothing happens. My guess is that it's fake anyway–there's no size mentioned in the "nfo," etc. At the very least it's certainly not a scene release.
