Andy Lau from “Infernal Affairs” and Daniel Wu from “New Police Story” are two very well-known actors in Asia and I think they have always done a good job in their movies. People who watch Asian movies will probably know them better. The ratings of Protege are good and reviews talk about a very good movie. Frequent readers should have noticed another Asian movie released two days ago that was decent, comedy “My Wife is a Gangster 3“. At last I must say that the quality of this DVDRip is one of the best I have ever seen and heard. Enjoy!

Nick (Daniel Wu), an undercover in the heart of Asia’s lucrative heroin trade, is a protege to drug lord Quin (Andy Lau). In 8 years he eventually gains his trust and next in line to take over from his ill mentor. As Nick infiltrates the syndicate to get enough evidence to arrest the retiring Quin, the unwritten law of brotherhood blurs with his professional duties. Thrown in the mix is his attachment to a domestic fracas involving a junkie mother Fan (Zhang Jing Chu) and her daughter, together with her dealer husband. He is a confused chap when deals with human emotions, of deep friendship, trust and betrayal in the illicit business.

    Actually from among the latest releases of Asian movies i would say Jadesoturi aka Jade Warrior looks interesting. I prefer the olden day settings of chinese flicks. must be the women seem to look more endearing

    Infernal Affairs was ‘The Departed’. They’ve also had infernal affairs 2 and 3 if i’m not mistaken. are u saying that scorcese is gonna do this one as well?

    The writer of The Departed, William Monaghan is doing a remake of Confessions Of Pain next with Leo De Caprio, Scorcese’s next is meant to be The Wolf Of Wall Street (book is released Sept), also with Di Caprio, have to wait and see which one goes into production first.

    This was like “Traffic” if you ask me…but like 10x better…there was one shot of the outside of the building that was cool…and the ending sequence was cool too…but all in all, this is really good, if that “Confessions of Pain” is anything near this story quality wise, I definitely want to see that…I’m gunna go watch…”After.This.Our.Exile.2006.Directors.Cut.DVDRip.XviD-MESS” hope it’s good.

    I use videolan, there is a option to use subtitles with the movie.

    Settings>Preferences>Vide/Subtitles/OSD>second option down will ask: use subtitle file — find the first subtitle file for the first cd — then the second cd when your ready, and remember to save settings after each switch. you might have to load the movie from File>Quick Open File After you load the subtitles 1 or 2.

    Help! Second time i’ve had this problem. I stopped my PC overnight and now on restart torrent says acess denied, peers limit reached. Last time it eventually restarted after 4-5 update trackers. This time no good

    Now it’s started but after recheck fo files says i am at 2.8% when last night I was at 90%… Anyone else had this kind of problem ? Tried doing recheck twice, makes no diff.

    I saw this film when i was in Malaysia on holiday. It is really good!!! Very brutal story, I’ve always been a fan of Andy Lau. I hope they don’t make a crappy english version of this lol.
    Drugs are bad mkay. If you do drugs then your bad mkay.
    lol For all those peeps that can stand reading english subs I fully recommend this film.

    For some reason, the subs from http://subscene.com/84668/subtitle.aspx don’t work.

    The filename of the subs didn’t match the torrent filename, so I changed it. Now my DivX player recognizes it but there are no subtitles, not even in VLC player.
