Proper, Repack, Proper

It seems to be more and more common to just release some movie and then eventually check the release you spread over hundreds of sites. So it’s not too complicated to see propers, repacks, propers of propers and so on. This is just driving me mad…

Little.Children.2006.PROPER.DVDRip.XviD-VoMiT

Little Children centers on a group of young marrieds, whose lives intersect on the playgrounds, town pools and streets of their small community in surprising and potentially dangerous ways.

Latest release included duplicate partial (~1 min) footage on both cd’s. Check screenshoot added. Enjoy it now .. also with better resolution and audio (5.1 instead of 2.0).

Drama, IMDB, 2 CD, vmt-little-xvid, torrent

Griffin.And.Phoenix.2006.PROPER.DVDRip.XviD-VoMiT

Griffin And Phoenix is a poignantly funny love story about two people who face a seemingly insurmountable obstacle that may stand between them and a last chance at love.

Latest release wasnt restored to original framerate, resulting on blended frames. Samples and frame compare added.

Romance, IMDB, 1 CD, vmt-griffin-xvid, torrent

Stomp.The.Yard.REPACK.READNFO.DVDRip.XVID-SNM

After the death of his younger brother, a troubled 19-year-old street dancer from Los Angeles is able to bypass juvenile hall by enrolling in the historically black, Truth University in Atlanta, Georgia. But his efforts to get an education and woo the girl he likes are sidelined when he is courted by the top two campus fraternities, both of which want and need his fierce street-style dance moves to win the highly coveted national step show competition.

QPEL removed, bad.ar my ass settings were perfect in gknot, if you didn’t read it the 1st time compressability was fine for 1cd, it’s funny how NEPTUNES DVD SCR wasnt nuked for having CBR audio. Now i’ve included a audio track of the directors commentary, i dont know too many SCR’s with director commentary on it but w/e.

Musical, IMDB, 1 CD, snm-stomp.repack, torrent soon

It’s the same thing with games nowadays. Studios release incomplete games, and players basically become the testers. Then after a couple of weeks they release a 500mb sized patch. It would suck to pay money for unready stuff!

It’s not too “complicated” to see broken English either. That’s what drives ME mad… ;)

    Hey bob and passer by:

Is Martin a natively english speaking citizen? If not or he is and younger than 16 than I think he communicates effectively enough. Maybe it was late or he was drunk. Maybe he was in a hurry.

People from outside the USA and its territories or Canada deserve a little slack.

I suppose you can write fluently all the world’s languages?

The point is Martin provides a service for nothing. I don’t see you donating anything here but complaints, which are like a-holes – everyone’s got one. BTW, that’s called a simile, bob. Opps, now I’m being sarcastic.

I appreciate if you point me to the grammar/semantic error I made in the comments. If you just moan about my English, I can hardly improve it ;)

Maybe choosing “unusual” or “uncommon” instead of “complicated” would have been more appropriate. Maybe not.

Maybe bob would have given an example but english his sucks.

(Yes bob, that was on purpose. I transposed the possessive pronoun with its subject for humorous effect.)

Too bad they couldn’t repack Stomp The Yard with something people might actually want to watch.

Alright, maybe we need to remind ourselves that the release groups (whoever that may be)are doing a fantastic job.

You who consider yourselves know-it-all wiseguys, (and so far I’m not talking about Martin or any of you who has left a reply) could really be a little more thankful for something that only costs you downloading time.

Remember the 90’s when we were happy downloading a mp3 song in less than 30 minutes? Just one week after the album was released??? And 192 kbit/s!! Damn..

You should have been there in the 70’s…I had to make do with nicking comics….;)

The additional minute on CD2 of Little Children didn’t worry me overly. When I split my own 1400MB rips, I occasionally skip back a key frame for the 2nd CD if the splitting point is right in the middle of a spoken part, for example. In this particular case, the repeated minute probably wasn’t necessary. In fact I cut it out with VirtualDub and adjusted my SRT sub-title files with SubtitleWorkshop.

As far as the absence of 5.1 audio is concerned, I don’t see this as a major drawback in the case of a social drama. That left more space for video bit-rate – a whopping 1800+, so at least the video was really good.

Yeah, sure, 5.1 audio is great for an action/adventure movie. Mind you, it’s sometimes at severe expense to video when you start getting to 2h30mn and more in movie length. Take a movie that’s 3 hours long (King Kong…) and 2-CDs aren’t enough if you also want 5.1 audio at 448kbps.

As for the people for whom English is not their mother tongue, and who provide a service such as rlslog.net, they should be encouraged, not spat upon.

You all complain about the repacks, but you’d all be complaining about bad releases if they didn’t repack.

If you have even the smallest understanding if how the scene works you’ll see this is bound to happen when everyone is racing to be first.

If the groups stop and take their time to get it right, you complain it takes too long.

Just deal with it and enjoy the funny catfights in the nfo’s.

p.s. I Think Martin’s english is moving along nicely, sure there’s going to be times where he might use the wrong term or whatnot, but the point gets across right? If it bothers you that much either don’t read his posts, OR offer CONTRUCTIVE CRITICISM like Willy Wonka.

    Let the repack wars continue.

I saw the first matrix on a VCD from a CAM source. It is still better than the sequels in High Def.

Scene rules are great for reposts though, someone makes a request and averybody who has that release can fill or respond instead of 10 different versions floating about the net.
