Project Runway S04E08 DSR XviD-ORENJi
This time I’d like to tell you about something a bit different… reality TV show “Project Runway”. This is a moderately popular show hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum, that’s currently in its 4th season. I got to watch this a few times, mostly because my girlfriend is hooked on this, and it turned out to be quite entertaining. The idea here is you get 15 fashion designers at different points in their career, some beginners and others somewhat established, competing for the privilege to show their work in New York Fashion Week, in addition to winning a car and $100,000 to start their own line of fashion.
The contestants are given tasks that include designing and creating suits and dresses that they must complete on a tight budget and schedule. The final designs are then worn by models (who are chosen by the contestants as well), displayed on the runway and asserted by Heidi Klum, two fashion industry luminaries and a guest visitor. Needless to say, you find some very quirky characters on the show and that leads to amusing situations. This is a lot like other reality shows such as “America’s Next Top Model” and if you are a fan of reality shows (and most of us are, when nobody’s looking…) then you will enjoy this. If not, your girlfriend will.
