Prince Of Persia 3: The Two Thrones

All fans of arcade adventures can get a little older sweetie now - Prince Of Persia 3: The Two Thrones is out, cracked and kicking. Actually, who’s kicking is Reloaded, because they finally beated StarForce (well after few months :)). This protection may be now officially considered as useless, so I’d recommend all publishers to switch back to something like SecuRom or SafeDisc (to make the world easier for these people who buy these games).

The Prince of Persia, a seasoned warrior, returns from the Island of Time to Babylon with his love, Kaileena. Instead of the peace that he longs for, he finds his homeland ravaged by war and the kingdom turned against him. The Prince is rapidly captured and Kaileena has no choice but to sacrifice herself and unleash the Sands of Time in order to save him. Now cast out on the streets and hunted as a fugitive, the Prince soon discovers that past battles have given rise to a deadly Dark Prince, whose spirit gradually possesses him.

Did Reloaded really beat SF?? I’ve seen cracked LMA Manager from them, but it is SF 4 Frontline (even better). Can you confirm that Reloaded beat SF? As far as i’ve been heard, they use unprotected exe’s from russian or polish releases of the game :( So, we can’t be sure the SF protection is oficially hacked (like Securom or Safedisc or even Tages)… This game is also 1 year old..same as Splinter Cell, took ‘em 1 year to beat it!
We have to see what will happen next…

to quote myself, we all know that UBI soft has decided not to use anymore SF protection, so maybe there is a key to this success… maybe this fixed exe comes with re-release of game (kind of Gold edition or something), that comes with Securom (same as all other UBISoft releases) protection..

it´s amazing how people is never happy. starforce is beaten because realoded destroyed it. don´t believe it??? just check their other starforce releases like splinter cell 3 or king kong, you don´t have to copy a single exe file and that´s it. no you have to copy a full directory of files in order to make it work, this is the evidence that this is not a “let´s take this exe that doesn´t have starforce and make it look like our release” syndrome. so stop complaining and be happy that someone decided to destroy that awfull portection, thanks reloaded!!! I salute you!!!

I am not unhappy about it, i see that reloaded cracks of SF contains only 2 files (exe & dll), but in most of other gropu NFO’s they said about stealing the unprotected exe’s just to be first and just to be on top. I am talking about this…

Hey, if it works it works.
If you have the original release and are just after the crack, it’s been upped to gamecopyworld. Will try it later when I free up some disk space.

??? What’s all this talk about using russian or polish unprotected EXEs? Haven’t heard about it but admit I am not really keeping up with the gossip.

But why the heck would unprotected EXEs be available for Russian and Polish games anyway? It sounds just plain wrong.

Could anyone shed some light on this…?

Well, you have to see Unleashed release of Ducati World Championship, they included fixed exe from unprotected german release (not enlisted on nforce), and they said in nfo:
“We have been watching on how the cracking groups have been doing
over the past week’s and noticed that without getting nuked or anything
they can simply replace protected exe with unprotected polish ones, or
take a securom exe from a CD release and put it on a DVD release thats
protected with Starforce and claim to have cracked that, and so forth.

If your gonna use our clones to do your magic work on, atleast do them
right, instead of just leeching our stuff then add a none protected exe
in it and then repack and pre it.

So what we did here was to crack the german version of the game which
was protected with ProtectCD. Thats the exe your gonna find in the crack
folder and you are about to replace now with the originally securom one.

If this is how it is to be a cracking group, then i geuss we are a
cracking group now, we will offcourse search the entire internet for
polish or other none protected exe’s or weaker protected ones, like the
one we did for this game, on future releases.

last but not least we wanna thank the cracking groups on showing us how
to truely crack games….if you wanna nuke us, go ahead, just remember,
we didnt do anything the cracking groups havent done in the past and
probally will in the future either, atleast we have the balls to tell
the end user what we did and not claim that we cracked securom when we
    didnt.

If you wanna proper us, go ahead….but proper yourself first, if you
forgot which of your own games u need to proper yourself on cause you…
shall we say picked a somewhat different approch to it, feel free to
contact us, and we will gladly provide you with the list of games.

The game works offcourse perfectly fine and its in english, even though
the exe is from german game, enjoy the game.”
There, may this explain what i am talking about… same goes for some other releases, like adding unprotected exe for HoMM5 (russian release) etc etc…

I know that reloaded has cracked starforce so you can play the game.

But when you install the game, does starforce still install itself onto your pc withot you seeing it or has reloaded removed that part as well.

    Does anyone know this?

Starforce will still be installed. It’s only the .exe file thats changed… (In most games anyway)
But i’m sure they still install starforce :(

YoKo, thanks, that clears up a few things.

What is still not addressed though is the thing I find very peculiar:
Why would there be unprotected exes for polish/russian versions in the first place?

I mean, you don’t have different developing teams for different language versions of the same game. And these games are not commercially released in Russia or Poland with unprotected exes either.

    ???

Two Thrones is the best animated game I’ve ever seen on the PC. Even on the console only God of War or Ninja Gaiden can compete with the fluid motion of the prince. Can’t wait to play Assassin’s Creed, they use 20 times more animations than in two thrones (at least they say so).

sometimes the versions from other coutries are protected differently for many reasons, in starforce case for example it´s very well known that this stupid protection is hated in america, but for some reasons europe doesn´t complain a lot so they put starforce in the europe versions and other protection on the america releases, that´s how flat out was released, that game had starforce in the europe version but safedisc on the america one, i don´t really know if just repleacing the exev is enogh to avoid starforce but i seriously doubt it. the starforce releases from reloaded are usually a good amount of files that you should replace so it´s not only a corrected exe. starforce doesn´t work like that.

Agree with Hunter, so i doubt SF is cracked by Reloaded (no hard feelings), SF is very system (even device) dependent, so it can’t be cracked via one exe file, ’cause it searches some other drivers to be installed. Well, i am glad that something has been moved around SF protection, so we can play these games…

PS. Hunter, FlatOut 2 (European= StarForce Forntline4, not hacked-can’t even be mounted with Daemon or any EMU, USA= SecuRom , hacked by Reloaded and Razor1911 + Deviance)

    October 2nd, 2006 | 04:55

i don´t really know if this is the case but i think that maybe the dudes at reloaded removed every single trace of starforce from the game , that wouldn´t be a surprise they did it with splinter cell 3, and they almost did the same with king kong, at the end reloaded is the only one who is facing this protection, they even destroyed starforce 4 so reloaded is the game no doubt!!!

@Fedtekansler: No starforce will not be installed when you install the game, and yes reloaded can crack starforce.

  17. ghostface
    October 2nd, 2006 | 12:43

@Lo3bas: How do you know that starforce will not be installed?
I thought that happens when you install the game.

  18. hunter
    October 2nd, 2006 | 16:31

use any starforce remove tool it will tell you: no starforce drivers found. that means no star force, as i said reloaded is the bomb!!!

  19. YoKo
    October 2nd, 2006 | 16:42

I don’t agree.. then this release isn’t starforce at all. As i said UBI has left starforce protection, and this release could be securom crack.
Try to install original clone release (i’ve already played it last year - i think it is Mirror’s release) and you’ll see it has to install drivers.
If this *new* release is sf protected, then it MUST install drivers, and as far as i can see it isn’t pre-cracked…
    try to understand..

what they did is to rip starforce from the roots, they can´t do it any other way and yes… the versions of two thrones still have starforce, how do i know?? a friend bought that game two months ago and starforce was still there…..until reloaded that is :D

Yoko does have an interesting view point. But im pretty sure that reloaded cracked sf protection. for one, if it really jsut patched it with unprotected versions of the exe, it wouldnt have taken this long for a crack to come out. secondly, if it was indeed jsut this simple, other cracking groups would have done the same immediately after the first sf crack came out (for splinter cell 3 i preusme). So at the end of the day, RELOADED is king!!! ive been waiting so long for this game to coem out..nearly went and bought it too. nice try starforce..but ur days are done.
