Prey Update v1.3-HATEDOX

Another great update released by group HATEDOX. These guys recently push out most of important updates together with cracked binaries. As you probably know, Prey is “easy ride through an alien world that doesn’t cash in on all its potential but still offers enough thrills to make it a worthwhile trip” – to summarize this a bit, it’s a sort of revolutionary action / adventure goign beyond all common physic rules and restrictions.

This update include compatibility files for the Mac port of Prey. There are no bug fixes or new content in this release. This release is backwards compatible with Prey 1.2 multiplayer.

As soon as you start the game it will attempt to validate your cdkey by querying an online authentication server. To bypass this protection scheme you must prevent prey.exe from connecting to the internet, more specifically 209.131.124.233. Do this by unplugging your network-cable, disable your Ethernet adaptor or setup your personal firewall to block this traffic.

Alternatively you can apply our extra patch (patch.exe). The patch will disable the online authentication that happens at start-up. Be aware that this patch wont enable you to play online without a legitimate cdkey.

    Outstanding game. The only thing similar to doom3 is the engine. The rest is just out there cool. Rumour has it they have been working on this game for 5+ years, creating this sweet twisted plot, and I believe it. There are soo many cool elements to this game, where you just have to stop and go “wow”. At one point you walk into a room featuring a display case in the center, containing what looks like a miniature planet. While exploring the rest of the room you walk through a teleportal, then realize you have been shrunk and teleported ONTO the tiny planet inside the display case and are now exploring it’s miniature surface, all the while you can see the larger room and same display case above. Takes me back to “honey I shrunk the kids”. Trippy.

    Good time to mention the weapons are sweet and the bad guys twisted :D

    Gamershell is better, or at least another, place to get game patches. This one is the full patch executable unlike the “downloader stub” at the posted gamezone link.

    This looks awesome! That wall behind the spiderlike alien looks odd, maybe someone should stick a finger in it and see what happens lol.
