Does that mean the couple have a baby the 'natural' way, like animals do, without hospitals, doctors, nurses or drugs?

    Sounds interesting.

What a wank lol. Guess what, yes hospitals are there to provide care but wages, maintenance, research etc does not get paid by a warm fuzzy feeling.

Surprised it's not a Michael Moore production.

"does not get paid by a warm fuzzy feeling"
    membreya,
it does seem to function that way in other parts of the world that are much less 'free' by your definition of the word. funny how that works…

A friend of mine echoed similar sentiments, and went through with them despite my protests. Shockingly, there were complications during the pregnancy she didn't know about, it was born physically and mentally deformed. It lived, no thanks to the home birth that meant they had to travel over an hour to get to the hospital. So basically the lives of her, the husband, and the kid are all ruined because she didn't spent a day or two researching child mortality rates without western science.

They do where I'm from, ignorant Yankee. Most developed parts of the world have decided to put life above your yankee dollars, so guess where our taxes go; into providing a warm fuzzy feeling. Keep banging your anti-socialist/whatever drum and hopefully die a painful death because you can't afford health in your country.
