This a realy good program, saved my life on more then one occassion very well layed out and easy to use
Can it open/view DD/Raw images of hard drive? which very important for hard drives with heat problems and lots of bad sectors, that why I use Getdataback NTFS/FAT and DDrescue work very well together. and if i cant see the File system or File table ,I datacarve using formost or Photorec. both are freeware and work very well.

Recuva (http://www.recuva.com/) is a great freeware alternative. Also includes the ability to securely erase any recoverable file it finds.

I prefer recuva (google it). It’s freeware and has a rich feature set.

Two points;
1. You need either two drives, or at least two partitions to use this (or most any recovery software) since it can’t write to the same drive as it’s recovering from.
2. FAT drive + fragmentation = Failure to recover deleted files of any significant size.
hi there used this yesterday. it saved a lot of heartache recovered the full drive, 120 megs of photos and files.
