Poll Update
As most of you had noticed our last poll was being tampered with, by some idiots who thought it would be fun to waste their own time and ours by using scripts to mass vote. By the end of the week things were becoming so ridiculous that we simply pulled the poll as someone was hammering the site with 20k votes in 20 minutes. These guys also changed what they voted for everyday so one would pull ahead and then the other would with even more votes and so on and so forth. Seeing as the results are void because of this situation there’s no point in publishing them.
Anyway we will give the poll another shot be implementing a few more features to try and enforce the one vote per person system. There’s a new poll up and running and ready to be used. Thank you.

It was clear that in the last poll the “freedom of speech” was going to win. All of a sudden the “it’s getting out of hand” was gaining insane amounts of votes. I suspected foul play from rlslog staff members (to get an excuse for heavily moderated comments), but I’m relieved to see it was not so.

I haven’t figured it out how do I vote now. The voting options look different in Firefox and IE (for example in Firefox i don’t see the “>50 GB” option) and it doesn’t appear to be a button on witch i have to actually click so i can vote in both browsers. Hope you fix it.

first vote, and i voted the last thing which was more than 30 gigs and then it showed that i voted between 30 and 50 gb, and the last one was in fact more than 50 votes.

u should get the mass votes to write out the code for ur new voting system since u lot obviously don’t have a clue. its supposed to be 1 vote per person not 1 vote all together

I just voted in the new poll (re. downloading) and realized that I’ve got a problem. I download ~200GB a month.

Kind of sad that there is nothing more than 50GB+ as an option. My monthly traffic is probably in the 500-600GB range (and sometimes considerably larger), though that includes upload, so download only is probably more like 200-250GB.

I see the silly comments are back (again) - wot the F** is Halo3?
I notice that the enviro advocacy sites (Avaaz and Get-up among others) actually record where the ’signatures’ for their petitions come from - I have tried to ’sign’ twice due to receiving two emails on same subject - and been rejected the second time. They also send ‘thank you’. Would sumthing similar fix the vote tampering - admittedly they also require you to give your URL so…..
