Poison – Poison’d (2007)

Old school rock band Poison are back with a fresh new album “Poison’d”. This is their seventh studio album which is due to be released on the 5th of June. This new album of theirs is like a greastist hits of Poison’d with all their favourite tracks put on this new album, few of the tracks were just taken from their old albums and i think the rest were rerecorded. This is a well known rock band so many of you should recognise them.

January 03, 2007 Poison announced on their official My Space page that they would like the fans to help pick songs for the new album they are to go into the studio to record an album of your favorite classic rock songs. The fans replied with suggestions like Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Freebird,” The Sweet’s “Ballroom Blitz,” and AC/DC’s “You Shook Me All Night Long” along with what might be an obvious choice — Alice Cooper’s “Poison.”

Poison had a lot of success in 2006 with a cover of Grand Funk Railroad’s “We’re An American Band.” and are no strangers to recording covers on their albums. Other songs they have covered are “Your Mama Don’t Dance” (Loggins and Messina), “Squeeze Box” (The Who), “Cover of the Rolling Stone” (Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show) and “Rock and Roll All Nite” (KISS). Rikki Rockett also recorded a solo album of covers in 2003 entitled Glitter 4 Your Soul.

On February 14, 2007, it was released by VH1 that Bret Michaels is going to have his own reality show called “Rock of Love With Bret Michaels” where women will have to compete for his love and prove they can keep up with his rock star life.

C.C. Deville and longtime girlfriend Shannon Malone welcomed their first child, a boy named Vallon Deville Johannesson, on March 15.

During 2007 Poison are to go on a summer tour with Ratt and will also release the covers album POISON’D on June 5th through Capitol Records. Tramp’s White Lion has been added to the tour.

I think they were popular in the 80’s but they are really old, any chicks that want to bang them must be really fucked in the head.

    to tuckloadofcows:
Apparently you haven’t done your research on the banging matter, it just so happens that Bret has been banging some very hot open”minded” (read legged) ladies not too long ago… It’s easy to imagine hot young girl with old rocker than with some pimplefaced-internet-geek who’s in his early twenties lol, pun intended.

Might as well grab this one, haven’t heard these clowns in ages.

I know poison isn’t quite as angsty as the new LP CD but they have collectively banged more women that all the emo bands put together.

I just got it off Demonoid, and I have to say it’s outdated ‘heavy metal’ crap. A bunch of average covers that would have been nice 20 years ago, but won’t make any waves in the 21th century. Generic crap is all it is.

Any people who ever said this band is great are probably on Medicare by now…

lol, they haven’t changed their looks for 20 years. They sucked then, even more now…horrible music, horrible.

“Bret Michaels is going to have his own reality show called “Rock of Love With Bret Michaels” where women will have to compete for his love and prove they can keep up with his rock star life.”

This is just fucking sad..his rock star life..haha…I just hope that we’re not going back to those horrible 80s and time of soft metal…We used to trip on acid and laugh at the cover of album of these dudes and some others like them…

    @Kartbay

Hard Rock?? Hard rock is Lemmy’s Motorhead….These silly bunch of guys are all soft metal designed to get 80’s chicks with ridiculous hair styles. There are some good metal bands from that period like Slayer, but not these guys.

lol.. like it or not, these guys get bitches. some dudes may think these clowns look gay. but if they’re doing what they love: dress gay and play crappy music, and still get the bitches and money, whats wrong with that?

I wont have too much of a go as you obviously have some good taste in music. But lets see Poison, Skid Row, Bon Jovi, Guns N Roses, Scorpions, Dio and many many more were all invloved in releasing great music in the 80s and early 90’s. Its about time we start hearing from some of these older groups again who can write music and still hold a great tune. If it had not been for Def Leppard, Scorpions and Iron Maiden in the Late 70’s to Early 80’s we would have been listening to Punk and hip hop crap for the last twenty years and our brains would have melted with the same repetitive shit.
I hope to see many more new releases from these slightly older groups (Scorpions released an albumn two weeks ago).
And to QuadrupelQ how old are you mate?
You are on medicare from the day you are born. Pull that dummy out your mouth and unplug your ears you just might listen to something worth while for a change.

poison may not be metal but they rock! you should see their show. and nope, they’re not gay. if you call this generic crap, how would you describe say, jay-z’s music or 50 cent, where all they do is create a beat or copy someone else’s and call it “sampling” and say a lot of fuck and muthafuckers as lyrics. how about rihanna, whose flabby sides are as bouncy as the lyrics of her song. hmn, let’s see, who else? where’s eminem now? i’m no hip hop hater, just trying to show some sample of other “generic crap” that’s out there. i’d buy poison cds over nickelback or the band that used to be creed. talk about being generic, those bands are crap. oh, and don’t get me started on what the fuck kind of music emo bands produce.
