Pixela PixeZoom v1.0 Incl Keymaker-CORE

Group CORE released the very first version new plugin for Adobe Photoshop. Pixela PixeZoom allows you to increase the size of your images without damaging the quality (i.e. pixelization). PixeZoom works only with Adobe Photoshop CS3, but that version is probably the most common nowadays, so you shouldn’t have problems installing it.

    Works fine with CS4. Results impressive, but this could be done manually if you already know the right techinques and methods.

    @15 Arias.
    After you installed it, run Adobe Photoshop, load the image that you want to resize, then go to File–>Export–>PixeZoom.

    (You’ll have to insert the code generated with the KeyGen).

    Bye.

    I think you lose quite a lot of detail, or am I the only one seeing that?

    quite cool plugin. i think it uses a vector based scaling method. this gives better edges and less “pixelation”. but of course it also produces blur in some parts and it’s kind of bad for fonts. but might be useful sometime…

    This must be at least the 10th enlargement plugin for Photoshop that has been posted here. I have tried them all and have yet to find any that do what they advertise, none look any better than if you just enlarge an image using the built in Photoshop tools. Take any small photo of a person for example, then double it’s size to 200% using just photoshop on it’s own, then use one of these plugins, the results will barely be noticeable. All these plugins usually do is apply a blur to them to make them seem a bit smoother.

    @29, obviously you won’t see results there, it can’t fix what isn’t there. When you zoom in on an image it gets pixelated and all you can really do for the image is “smooth it out” which is quite possible to do with Photoshop’s built in tools already. This add-on just does it for you practically. Of course a small 125×125 image increased to 250×250 is going to look crappy, but this can make it look a tad less crappy. It’s still going to be quite obvious that the picture was increased in size. I mean, as a pixel gets bigger it’s much easier to see, and when you increase the size of an image it doesn’t make new pixels, as it can’t, it simple enlarges the pixels already in the image. That means all the pixels will be visible and easier to see with the human eye. This program simply utilizes Photoshop’s techniques and smooths the pixels out. Like another comment said though, completely useless unless you don’t already know how to use it.

    :D this looks really bad, from the preview is notable that the image keeps much more detail with a simple photoshop scaling than with pixzoom. the final image looks all blured and destroyed :S

    this is good only for contour. You need a tool like a brush to use it locally. and it only works well when you decrease the size of the image.

    Respect-My-Authority – do you think you could explain that one more time? I don’t think the 5 different versions of over-explaining the same thing is enough.
