SOMEGROUP have released a real proper for the HooKaH release which supposedly had something wrong. Obviously not because it ended up nuked for “invalid.proper_no.reason.specified_dupe.HooKah.2007-10-12″. Anyway, here is just another alternative to the original 2 releases.

Audio was a bit out of sinc in the first release.
Spiral’s version had audio bitrate of just 32kb/s.
Downloaded the sample for this one,which has 112kb/s audio bitrate(stereo).The video resolution seems to have been lowered a bit from previous versions.
Still not sure whether to download.Guess I’ll wait for the retail dvd.
Why do they make another release of 1.3GB?
The same thing happened to Transformers and just a week ago UnSeeN got out a 3 GB perfect picture with original sound release!

I’ve been wondering which one to go for now for 3 days.
Some people say the original spiral release is fine, whereas others say it’s not. Some say the Hookah release is fine, others say it’s not.
I just watched the sample of this one, and it seems out of sync to me, and the audio is extremely poor?
It seems to me that the race for a group to release a movie first has overtaken the quality and rules they should be meeting.
I’ll leave it a few more days and see how many more propers are released…
There is also a DVDR with 5.1 sound, that is also really good.
If they wanted to doa real proper theyd have done a 3cd rip with ac3 audio…turds.

I watched that DVDR release and it is encoded in 6xVBR technically and visually much better quality then any other available 1.4GB rip. It has a lot of seeders and downloads fast even though it’s 4GB+.
I downloaded the second release, watched it yesterday afternoon at home, and I didn’t notice anything wrong with it. I kind of remember having a noticeable pixelated image for a split second, but that could have been a slightly dirty dvd surface (I watched on my divx dvd player with 5.1 sound). Or that could have been another movie altogether. Like I said, for a split second the image was a bit pixelated and it didn’t ruin the viewing experience at all. The sound was in synch as well.
The second release worked for me.

It’s quite trivial really…if groups put more time and effort into ensuring they met the scene rules, there’d be no need for all of this PROPER milarky. So what if you don’t release it first? If you release quality, the ‘fans’ will follow, if you don’t, you’ll lose respect and followers.

I downloaded the first dvdrip posted here, and it was just fine. Why rererelease it?
DragonRipper’s has the proper aspect ratio and ac3 5.1 but is only 640×272. We would’ve expected 720×304…

There is nothing wrong with the Hookah release that i can see anyways and the sound isnt bad either. You can get a piece of software to upmix the quality to 5.1 if you convert it to DVD

Don’t bother. You’ll never get the same quality effects and the real 5.1 mix that the professional sound designers who worked on the movie have created. This would only be a crappy custom mix.

9 out of 10 people say there are no sync issues with it. Myself included.
The sample was just messed up is all.

HOOKAH’s release was fine without any problems, i dunno why in the hell was it nuked. Spiral’s version had a problem with video being out of sync, but that was rectified by HOOKAH in it’s release.
Suggestion For those who still haven’t got it, There’s a Rip by DragonRipper, which is supposibly a R1 with AC3 audio. Get that if u haven’t got it yet.
There was fook all wrong with – SPiRAL just you lot being tits, you are so ungratfull. Learn how to use your pc!

I dont know if someone said this already or not but the previous version (SPiRAL) that was out of sync was only by around 250ms!!! If you already downloaded the out of sync (SPiRAL) then just use avimux to sync each cd in around 5 minutes! Just enter -250 (approx but keep trying til you get desired results, -250 was good enough for me!) and it will be in sync instead of downloading it again.

i’m done D/L pirates… HOOKAH’s version works fine, even for Mp3 audio. I ain’t gonna waste my Bandwidth anymore on this with the DragonRipper version. Rather, The thing i was waiting for is finally here, the Repack of Ratatouille… which is with AC3 audio.

The Hookah version is good, I’ve just watched it and there where no problems. All this proper-shait is really annoying, as is the rlslog coverage of it all. The posters don’t make it any easier, basically because they have no idea what they are writing about.

The previous version wont play on my stand alone divX player, Im guessing this is a possible reason for some ppl saying its no good or has problems.

Yeah, any release that won’t play on my standalone player is pretty much worthless – I have a pretty standard player, and if a movie doesn’t work, that means people have REALLY been messing with the release trying to get it to look right.
That’s one reason why aXXo releases are always, in my opinion (and not everyone elses, I know) the best ones for a person with a standalone to get.

Same problem here.
I downloaded the hookah-release and it won’t play on my divx player. It plays about 10 seconds and then it just stops.
I had this problem before with other movies of which I repaired the audio (which was obviously out of synch) with Avimux. Avimux does a good job and the movies play well on my computer but not on the divx player.
Before I download the last release I want to know if there is anyone out there who knows how to solve this problem ? I searched the internet a few times but found no solution so far.
Perhaps Avimux is the cause of the nuked releases of re-synched movies. They play well on computers but divx players hate them.
