I don’t know because I don’t care, as long as the audio is decent and in sync and, and the video is anywhere near DVD quality then that is all I need…

Still not the proper aspect ratio, 2.47:1 instead of a figure between 2.35:1 and 2.40:1, and still not 3 CDs with ac3 5.1… Still waiting for a 3 CDs internal release that will correct all these with even higher definition reaching 720×304. That will come out eventually, as it happened with “1408 director’s cut” and “Transformers”.

@11 yep, and not only half of the releases nuked at the beginning.. there is also so many doubles of the same torrent (just type in search on mininova or other site for “pirates” or “half life”) and the worst part the speed is unbearablly slow… HL2E2 …was downloaded at 0.1KB ?!?

Ya, axxo isn’t as great as everyone makes him out to be. If you keep you eyes peeled on here for a DVDrip, DVDSCR, or a really good R5, then axxo’s releases ‘magically’ appear a couple days later
As for me, the bigger files are better quality and i think well worth the download.

I’m not a big fan of this series, so if I download the movie, it’ll probably be the 800 MB or 900 MB aXXo.
A lot of people here seem to hate aXXo, but MANY people are happy with Reliable Quality, small-sized (700 – 900 MB), stereo rips.
#16 – imho — if there’s any group that the MPAA hates most, it would be aXXo.

I checked it yesterday on a standalone Avi DVD player and it was indeed out of synch. However, when I moved a couple of seconds forward using the “search option” the synch was fine and when it went to the 2nd part, the synch kept fine.
Maybe this works for other too.

AXXO is only good if you are gonna convert to a lower format, such as for iPod, or cell phones
another good reason would be that you don’t have enough brand with, otherwise AXXO is not as good as these other groups

Yes, ’cause it’s nearly 3 hours long. They had to make a choice : good video with mp3 only, or bad video with ac3 5.1.
You’ll have to get HoHo’s 3 CD release to have 5.1… and even higher video definition and bitrate.;-)

Unfortunately, not yet. I’ve searched for it, too. Only available on eMule at the moment and just a few have it. In fact, my download has not even started yet. Dammit! I just managed to get the subtitle file. I hope it will be available on torrent soon, as it happened with HoHo’s “Transformers”.
as i posted befor i have just d/l the dvdr and its a proper dvd rip with ac3 5.1 audio and picture quality is 100% better than these two versions its a 4.37 gig no need for the 3 cds

I downloaded SPIRAL’s yesterday. I watched both Part 1 and 2. I didn’t find any sound or dialogue out of sync.
I watched it in VLC on my PC and I put it on my laptop, connected it to the HD TV and watch it on HD TV using Windows Media Player 10.0
So I don’t know why everyone is screaming OUT OF SYNC!!

wicked been waiting for this. as for the people who think axxo rips are better quality. i can not confirm this as i have a pretty average tv, but i have noticed that his releases are on 1 cd rather than 2 or 3, so i would assume that the 2 or 3 cd releases are better quality. Also i have noticed recently that most of the time axxo releases his stuff after alot of other release groups. nevertheless hiss releases are always more than watchable and thats what matters the most i think
The people at Hookah must have really dumbed down senses because this release is entirely OUT OF SYNC!!!

Hey guys, I extracted the CDs, but I got 126 kb/s on one, and 125 kb/s on the other..Hm, and now I can’t combine the two CDs on VirtualDub becasue of the data formats being different. HELP! Is it suposed to be different?

When you convert from avi to dvd this release goes out of sync badly because this group does not knw how to encode.

Jim, I’m having the same problem with VirtualDubMod. Any ideas from the gallery?
To everyone having problems joining the two files just use nandub. if the audio is two badly different the only other option is to extract, encode, and dub.
