Well he did great. Getting a nomination for a Saturn Award… without wasting 100 millions on publicity stunts?
There are now 2 shows on TV that just got there so much hype because of the Internet. Lost and FlashBack. Look at those series and see them on the first and what happened to them when the episodes just stacked the net. Millions where discussing it, millions where watching it and giving predictions. Lost had so much hype that the ABC website was crashing after each episode. And that couldn´t be only american people. Then the DVDS got out and they started to sell.
With flashback the same is happening. Even with good levels of people watching it on TV, the internet is a freeway for getting them publicity. The TV trailers where weak and just showed that “the world got sleepy for 237 minutes and hell break lose”. Well after the second episode, they got more people watching than Survivor…

piracy is a total mess, it waste people hard work and through it on the floor becuase simply u just stole the work of monthes and simply just upload it for free,
they are going to stop someday , and a lot of jobs will be lost and your economy will go more bad and finaly u, urself will be affected,
simple theory and i am sure u heared it million time

pls tell Eric D. Wilkinson to release his next movie under creative commons license. So that a lot of other people who would like to watch movie legally can benefit. It will reduce the number of "pirates" aka illegal users in the community.

Well finally someone saw how stupid economy of today can be.

If all Movies/music/games enterprises would stop to invest their money in anti-piracy protections and advertising and act as this guy, they would probably earned more money than now cause of expenses cut-off that would be drastical.

Most of peoples have somewhere deep in their mind feel of obligation to pay fair price for product/service they use. However they are also feel revolt when trying to be ripped off by paying what they find unfair price.

I kinda understand where you are coming from but there is one major difference between your little independent movie and the big hollywood movies…they want to make shed loads of money and recoup the multi-millions they spend.

Don't get me wrong, I love to be able to download movies, music, games etc. and my reason for doing this is simple. I personaly would never pay to go see many of the movies or buy every game or CD on the store shelf. I have to be selective and this so called piracy helps me be selective and buy the things I really enjoy.

I think if they really clamped down on piracy it would hurt them more than they realise and they would see a drop in sales across the digital media industry, from cinema attendances to games, dvd and cd purchases. Espesically in the current economic climate we don't have bottomless pockets and have to be very selective on where our hard earned, over-taxed wages go.

Well, congratulations to the film producer and cast and kudos to rlslog.net.

This is a rare yet fortunate outcome of piracy that benefits the smaller players out there that need to get noticed and is the exact opposite sentiment for mainstream film companies that lose a lot to piracy. I wonder if Mr. Wilkinson will still appreciate piracy once he goes mainstream.

I won't be a hypocrite and I admit that I download torrents.Just keeping it real.
