I tried Pinnacle Studio ages ago, found it to be lacking and over simplified. Sony Vegas + DVD architect has all these features already (including music generation and HD support).

Agree with Lenny. Both the original and repack don’t seem to work. I can’t even get it unlock the app for use. Unless someone know what the trick is I wouldn’t bother with it.
I have tryed PINNACLE.STUDIO.PLUS.V11.REPACK-MAGNiTUDE the package is basic but very easy and effective to use the big down side for me is that it is not PAl enabled which is a real bummer and I do not know how to enable this. Anyone know?

Thanks wackyraces, I was able to install with PAL capture enabled using one of those.
Trouble is, I still cant capture in widescreen (16:9), as the aspect ratio drop down box is greyed out same as the TV standard one used to be.

unfortunatly I installed as well the Studio 11 NTSC version. After uninstalling and several deep registry cleanings, the first used key always pops-up during a new install. A new Overwriting with the “serial Key enabling PAL” is not possible. Neither the new keygen enables Pal. Any tricks (registry or others ) to delete the initial key from my system so I can “clean” install Studio 11 with the PAL enabling key.
Any help will be appreciated.

I got Pinnacle 11 with Pal mode. But when I try to use the program it says: Activate Now. If I don´t do it it wont work and if I try to activate it it says: Invalid serial number.

Hey everyone. I just installed Pinnacle Studio Plus 11 without the bonus DVD. I can’t utilize any of the nice features or transitions unless I enter a valid serial to unlock premium content. I have a keygen to use once this is done but I can seem to find a valid serial to activate the premium content, which is why I wanted the software in the first place, Please help!

Seems like we’re all having the same problem. JBSKH-ABBAA-FOPSG-MSTAH-LJTLK will work to install the software but it is not valid when trying to activate the premium content. Like jo said, if anyone knows a correct name or possibly even passport that works with this serial please post. I think we would all really like to see what this software is capable of! Thanks
One last thing also, if anyone successfully got Pinnacle to install and is able to use all of the features please share how you did it and if there is a certain process that needs to be done, whether it be manually deleting some regitry files or downloading a working crack from a website or whatnot. I used Cyberlink Powerproducer to translate my PAL video to NTSC. It worked just fine. I got the software free with my digital camcorder so I am sure it can be found free out on the net. It gives a warning that quality may be degraded in the changeover, but the video I did looks fine. Cyberlink Powerproducer software is a POS, so it may give you errors. I found that if you keep the video that you are working with under 45 min in length, it will work okay. If it is longer, there is a good chance that the software will lock up, so you may have to cut your video into chunks that are less than 45 min in length. I hope this helps.

Studio Plus 11 …. just do the following ..
1.launch Studio Plus 11 and go ->Help>Purchase Actv keys
2.copy studio passport info to the “Pinnacle passport” field in keygen (including all the ” – ” dashes)
3.select the stuff u wanna activate and press “Activation Key”
4.copy the key n paste it under ->Help>Enter Activation Keys
5.Enjoy!
You can leave the Serial Number field in the keygen empty.
Ok, I have done this. But no matter how many keys I enter it still does not allow me to use any of it unless I unlock premium content. And this cannot be achieved without a valid serial number. I have already entered all of the keys from the keygen, but everything is still STANDARD and there are no advanced features even though it says that they were unlocked. Please help. What am I doing wrong?
Alright, I’ve concluded that my problem is that I don’t have the bonus cd. If anyone can confirm this, please do so. I have the keygen but without thew bonus cd I can’t use any of the keys, is this right? Can all effects and features be unlocked if I have the bonus cd installed? Do I need to unlock premium contect using a valid serial or can i skip that?

Ok, my main concern is not Pal/NTCS enabled. But I did use that serial that was given to unlock it. What I want to know is how get everything unlocked even the premium content without a valid serial. It keeps telling me that it is invalid when I go to unlock. Please help!

I installed the premium content CD and unlocked it using the keygen.
The keygen will generate a ‘valid’ serial but i believe u need to hav the premium content cd in the 1st place b4 u can use it…
Try using the keygen to unlock stuff like Mpg-2 Enc/Dec and if it works..then they keygen is ok … u just need to get the bonus CD/premium content CD installed 1st then use the keygen…
NEW INSTALL:- Install Pinnacle 11 studio plus
Start setup.exe Type in the following serial number to turn on ntsc, pal, secam

After install, when you are asked to restart pc after install finishes, say no to restart. Run pinnacle and go to setup tab, Video and Audio Preferences, go to capture source, Tv standard you should now be able to go from ntsc,pal, and secam. If you don’t get this feature enabled you will have to uninstall pinnacle completely. That is download the registry entries deletion program from pinnacle plus look for all entries of pinnacle with you search tool on drive c: and delete them all” important”, so that when you run pinnacle setup when it asks for a serial number the serial number box should have no entries in it, so that when you install the serial above, this serial will enable NTSC,PAL,SECAM Tv standards.

NTSC is standard in the USA and some other countries. In Europe PAL is the standard.

When I tried to install Pinnacle, it freezes at the backyard circus movie. Is there any way to bypass this? I don’t need it. It’s the only thing that’s stopping me from installing the program.

Of course you dont have to register your copy with pinnacle. but if you already install you copy with another serial number its better to uninstall and run the regdelete from pinnacle´s website, and install it again. with my serial… its not otherway than this.. the serial will enable you to run pal and ntsc files. I hope this may help you…

Hi just wanted to know how to get all premium content?
ok guys, do exactly what Jonathan Edmunds wrote. you HAVE to install pinnacle studio AND the bonus DVD before you can unlock all the plugins. then, open the keygen file (download at http://www.megaupload.com/?d=380O1NUA), click on the serial number button to generate a serial number, type in your pinnacle passport number (found under pinnacle’s help –> my passport). make sure to include the dashes between every 5 numbers. then select whatever plugin you want to activate in the drop down menu under “select module to activate” in the keygen. then, click on the activation key button. a key will be generated for that selected plugin, so copy that into the “enter activation key” under pinnacle’s help tab. click ok, and you should be able to unlock your plugin. i had to play around with the keygen several times (keep pressing the serial number and activation key buttons) to generate new keys before pinnacle finally accepted one. remember that each plugin requires a different activation key, so you’ll have to keep flipping back and forth between your keygen and the “enter activation key” tab.
for the activation key to unlock the mpeg-4 encoding/decoding, try using LAFSC-JAAAA-AAWIA-VLEQZ-XBEUV. for dolby 2H encoding/decoding, try LAFSC-FAAAA-AAWIA-DWGWV-SVZHI. those worked for me but i don’t know if it’ll work for you guys because i think the key depends on your own unique pinnacle passport, so keep pressing those serial and activation key buttons and try pluging in each new key until it works.

alright, i just found out that you can’t really refresh the keygen to generate new keys for each plugin. i played around with it and it looks like it only gives one key per plugin, so what i remember doing is that i closed the “enter activation keys” tab, opened it again and input the rejected key back in it. it works, so try doing that.

David, if you have a keygen do what JL says to do in #82 above, open studio, get your passport #, open keygen and type in your passport # and then type in HFX Volume 3 in Select Module To Activate, then in Activation Key type LAFSG-KAAAA-AAWIA-AYQHL-QAAMN see if it works. This is the activation key for HFX Volume 3. Be sure to type in all dashes.

Since i have installed pinnacle studio plus my dvd writer works fine but my cd writer doesnt detect or burn any cds. Has anyone else got the same problem? How can I solve this problem?

To resolve this behavior, follow these steps:
1. Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).
2. Locate the UpperFilters value under the following key in the registry:

3. On the Edit menu, click Delete , and then click OK .
4. Locate the LowerFilters value under the same key in the registry:

BizZy, your pan & zoom has a lock on it, whenever you see the pinnacle logo over an effect it means it is locked. You have to have a keygen to unlock the effects.

BizZy, in reading the specs for studio 11 ultimate it has the precision pan and zoom, so yes, you will need to upgrade to ultimate.
How come i have the studio plus v11.1 and cannot also use the picture in picture it also needs to upgrade in order to use it, whats wrong with it?
I would call pinnacle tech help, its free, I have had some issues that they have been able to help with (650) 267-5196
so this magnitude does not include full feature as it indicates on the websites coz it ask to upgrade in order to use picture in picture

I’ve tried several keygens and when I try to open them a message pops up saying: ‘Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access them.’ The keygen that came with it worked before but since then AVG has updated and I think it is that which is blocking it. It was not detected as a virus before but now it says: Trojan horse Generic8.BUH

I’ve recorded some video with a DVD camcorder, is it possible to import it directly from the DVD into Pinnacle? Or do I need a third party software to convert it to whatever Pinnacle likes and then import? If that’s the case, do you know what software I should use to convert it?

Pinnacle has an instant DVD recorder built in or you can record and edit your material but, you will need some kind of interface such as firewire to connect your camera.

Thanks mate, problem is that there is no firewire or any cable interface on the camera. The only thing I have is the actual DVD disc. I reckon I need to copy it somehow into a DVD format and then import it into Pinnacle? But I’m not sure. The import from DVD source doesn’t seem to pick up my scenes when I chuck in the Cam DVD… I’ll keep on doing some research.

Just look above in the program , there you will find “import dvd files” if you put your dvd in your pc , open this and you can mark the files you need to import and of you go
This only works for non copy protected dvds , if oyu want to use dvd files you bought in the shop , just use dvd shrink , like you would copy it , put the selected file on harddrive , import it like I said above and there you are
Sorry read it to fast , but normaly can if you put your dvd your filmed in your dvd player at home and just play it no ?
so pinnacle has to understand the files , maybe they are copy protected , try dvd shrink over the files and see what it does.

Hello Everyone. Hope someone out there can help me with this problem.
I have installed Studio Plus 11 with the bonus DVD and done it just as JL said to do at the #82 comment. I used the keygen with my Passport and generated ALL of those codes to unlock every program available. They all said they unlocked as I did them so everything looked good.
Here is the problem, when I open Studio Plus 11 now, it stops before opening completely and says: “Welcome to BIAS SoundSoap PE 2.X! This is a trial version of BIAS SoundSoap PE 2.X. This trial will expire in _ days. When running in trial mode the volume will fade in and out periodically.”
When I used the keygen it said Bias SoundSoap PE was unlocked and it shows up in Studio under Activation Keys with all those that the keygen unlocked.
When this message comes up as I open Studio I try to authorize Bias SoundSoap PE 2.X with Studios serial number or with the code the keygen created for this program, but it just comes up with ‘Invalid serial number’.
Anybody know what to do to fix this problem?????

Fly, try this it worked for me.
Disconnect from internet Un-install AVG and empty virus vault (just in case). Run Magnitude & you should be able to enter all codes. When you’ve done, remove all traces of Magnitude. Re-instal AVG and all should be well. Good luck.

I thouht that I found the answer on this page. I followed #51 twice, but whithout any succes. In the ’setup’ tab ‘capture source’ there is NOTHING!. Not even NTSC or PAL.
I’m using the code ‘JBSKH-ABBAA-FOPSG-MSTAH-LJTLK’.

I also had problems installing studio 11. I did it several times according #51.
I didn’t succeed, everytime I got the serial number I used the
first time. (this wasn’t a PAL serial code).
What I additionally did after point 3 of #51 was to delete all pinnacle (also other abreviations possible e.g. PCl etc), pixie entries in the registry manually. Even that wasn’t sufficient.
In Vista I searched for more pinnacle files and found one in
C:\users\public (don’t exactly know the english foldername because I have a dutch version; C;\gebrukers\openbaar).
The filename is PCLECHAL ; this is a configurationfile!!!. Delete the file and repeat #51 include manual cleaning of the registry as mentioned above.
It takes some time to execute, but after that you can enjoy PC studio 11!!
To deactivate AVG just run AVG Control center(double-click on AVG icon on bottom right corner), select “Resident Shield”, button Properties and uncheck “Turn on AVG…”.
Then you can run Keygen…
Please someone confirm that magnitude works? I have used this to generate activation code to unlock MPEG 4, but it is not working. Any other code that can be used?

I have uninstalled again and also removed all Pixie code manualy AND from #182 the PCLECHAL file. Still nothing!
But the strange thing is: when I log on as a other user, then I can use Pinnacle!!
What’s the best thing I can do right now, because I have been installing it for over 6 times now (with no result).

I have the same problems with uninstalling as a lot of the people here. I just got a hint to look for files with the extension .pf2.
In these files, Pinnacle keeps track of the licensis and if it finds files with these extensions, you will not be able to reinstall with an other licence.

sorted by installing Avid 7. Using Studio 11 because this is much simplier.
I have tried it out yesterday and it proved to work.
There are a few more pinnacle directories in the programdata directory from Vista, that are not shown during a normal search. Remove these and everything worked on the next install.

And when im downloading files from my camera, and also when i download AVI files, i have to registrer.
I found the serial number in internet, its the same that everybody writes on this site. And my password just was in the program.
Does anybode now how i can registrer?
I have to do this to get my sound playing in the program.

there is a fixed keygen called PINNACLE.STUDIO.PLUS.V11.FIX-MAGNiTUDE
once you have completly deleted the studio 11 from your system, so that your old serial dosent show up in the required serialbox then you well be able to get PAL to work.
My problem is that i cant use the unlocked features, is there anyone who has solved the problem?
Used the keygen I found to activate everything in Studio. I bought Studio 11, and used the keygen to upgrade to Studio 11 Plus. Bonus DVD is awesome too, came with Studio.

I am concerned that the answer to the trojan problem in the available keygens seems to be to turn off AVG! I could be thick here but if we are gonna start ignoring our anti-virus software why bother having it?
I am no expert on trojans but I’d have thought once keygen.exe had been clicked the damage was done. Deleting the keygen.exe file after we have used it is not gonna undo the trojan now being on our systems correct? The trojans, from the best I can find out like to add spyware to our PC’s, disable some functionality (possibly inability to defrag).
Is there a working keygen which is totally clean? Is someone prepared to assure the rest of us that these trojans are safe to ignore?

This is the thing … installing them is one thing, access to them is via activation codes which the available cracks do for you very nicely except that, as many have found, all of them flag up trojans hidden inside the crack program.
With AVG running it’s impossible to even open one even if I was prepared to take the chance that I could remove the trojan after using the crack. Without entering activation codes the program is really quite weak in comparison to what it could be.

None of those keys work on the installed program I have. I remember using the key on an old PC prior to when AVG picked up a trojan in it key entry was no problem at all. If I could only establish that thereport from AVG was wrong I’d love to use it now.

I have installed studio 11 and the bonus dvd and everything seems to work except the video effects. They are there but the text is light grey and when I click on them nothing happens. Any help would be appriatated.
i have problem too with PAL importation from panasonic sd AVCHD “no pal”.
anyone experiencing avg free edition detecting pinnacle studio 11 plus crack has a trojan? if yes, i also do experience that before. what i did, i uninstall completely the avg. after that, i tried to access the crack and it works! so i install right away the pinnacle studio 11 plus and unlock all the effects and transitions. after that, i re-installed again the avg. update it and scan completely my system. no virus infected files detected. i also run the spyware terminator. so im using now version 11.1.

DIGEM: What does the Windows says? Is it being detected that it is infected by Trojan? If yes, uninstall completely first your antivirus. Then run your keygen. After installing everything, re-install your antivirus and scan your computer completely. Hope this will help.

I have studio 11, and I was having the same problem, I couldn’t open movies on PAL system, I followed the coment nr 32 from “bfg” and i had sucessfully installed studio 11 without PAL problems, what happens now, is that I want to use smartmovie tool, and when I press the button “Create smartmovie” it started to analysing de sound ^(as usual) but after that it appeared a message saying “Sorry. SmartMovie Error” (something like that), and I want help on this, if anyone knows how to completely enable smart movie tool, please tell me.

Just thought I’d add I was tearing my hair out at all the virus alerts within the various keygen files.
I did as a few people suggested, removed AVG, rebooted & I was able to run the keygens without problem.
There is probably a quicker way to do this, it must be possible to suspend something in AVG but anyway if your having the same problems, this is the solution.

So go into your AVG control pan, and disable those “resident shields.” If just for the time being
A good idea is to buy AVG then you can set program exclusions, so that AVG lets you have access to these files even when “resident shield” is running. I recommend AVG 8Pro, you set exclusions to the keygen them self’s, but if AVG finds that it’s trying to spread its Trojan else whereon your computer it gives you the option to terminate it immediately.

I have installed studio 11 Ultimate which i downloaded from bittorent. It had 3 things — a) Studio 11 plus, b) Studio Ultimate pack and c)Bonus DVD contents
I installed everything and unlocked/activated everything with the provided keygen. But now when i try to open the programme, it says — “THIS APPLICATION HAS FAILED TO START BECAUSE THE APPLICATION CONFIGURATION IS IS INCORRECT. REINSTALLING THE APPLICATION MAY FIX THE PROBLEM.”

Ok , this is what I figured out ,
If you go to http://www.mininova.org/tor/1226139 you will find the ultemate version of pinnacle 11 , it is like I see it the same as we have but has a extra cd (160mb in the down)
So disc 1 is dvd program , disc 2 is cd “ultimate” , disc 3 dvd bonus
If you select only the second disc , you will have the keys to unlock the prodad we all have , you will also be able to , pimp your plus version to ultimate .and the upgrade for the ultimate version
When you scroll down in the keygen you will find first the standart unlock keys and below the other onces(ultimate unlock) , I first used only the once below and that didn´t work . by scrolling back up I found other prodad keys and those worked fine for me

Hi guys, I have found this forum so useful, I had the PAL no enabled problem, what a ball ache.. why do pinnacle lock everything, I have a key gen app, and theres about 50 different keys available that unlock different aspects.. what a ball ache.. I purchased my first pinnacle capture card and pinnacle9, but I will never buy any pinnacle soft again infact i wouldnt even use a free copy. any company who goes over the top and locks so many features that results in many thousands of peoples lost hours wasted trying to get the feature enabled need to be avoided. If you pay full price for this soft you will still have a ball ache at 1 point re installing it, to try and enable something that you paid for.. or fighting to get it working with PAL etc etc.
The only good thing about Studio11 is its easy to use.
but with the ball ache and the “you MUST register” to unlock what you already paid for attitude doesnt sit well for me.
F*** Pinnacle. bunch of T**sers who like to waste our valuable time.

i have the keygen and studio plus working and the activation keys work and when i go to view the keys they are there but i dont actually have them and when i try to regenerate them it only does 1 of them, the dream glow which i already had before studio 11 it takes the code and says it is unlocked but yet nothing is different and cant access them, can anyone help? and do i have to install the bonus dvd for any of the codes to take effect?

EASY WAY to access activated PREMIUM CONTENT if the Titles and Menus don’t show in the list – Click on the folder icon next to the list which allows you to ’select a different folder….’. Navigate to My Computer/Program Files/Pinnacle then the relevant folder and Title or Menu
All a bit trickier if you have Studio 12, and let it install ‘Content’ in your ‘user folder’ by default but with a good look you’ll find it. Be cheerful.

I have uninstalled the program, delet all files i could find manually, search all register and run the file from pinnacle.
I have version 11.1.2.5231 and my sound just quit for no reason as far as I can tell. I can still put sound on my movies, but can’t play it back on Pinnacle. I’m really stumped!

unlock codes vary between machines because the passport number is different, the unlocking sequence is determined by using the passport number and the unlock code together, so no 2 are ever the same, that’s why you need a keygen

sorry slowball, as stated the company is trying to reduce the amount of pal content produced by homo video photographers. In an effort to do this they have limited pal support on all American copy’s of studio v11 (not 12).
in order to get pal enabled you must uninstall, regclean.exe (found on pinnacles website under studio 11), and re install with pal serial number aka Europe Serial number.

I’ve a trouble. I can’t activate my copy of pinnacle. I installed all, included the Bonus DVD. The problem is that I can’t start the keygen. Is says to me it is a Trojan and I don’t have the authorization to open it..I tried thousand of times. Don’t know what to do.
