I forgot to say, that you have to copy REGISTRATION CODE from VIRILITY keygen to CORE keygen and generate Activation code.

Hikaricore, the whole “point” of these IDEs is to speed up development time. I don’t know about you but I prefer to deliver my projects on time than have to explain to the CIO that it’s not on time because I’m using vim to write the code.
How code is produced is completely irrelevant, it’s the quality and speed with which the final product is delivered that counts.
You don’t get kudos from making things difficult for yourself, you get it from delivering the goods to a consistently high standard and on time.

I can’t write php for shit. But I wish I could learn how. I read a lot of the tutorials and shit on php.net and some other joints. And they all were a bit confusing and I just normally went to the conclusion and just copy+pasted because I didn’t understand what was going on.

Surely, for writing simple PHP scripts there is not much difference between using a text editor or a powerful IDE. But there’s an enormous difference between simple PHP scripts and modern, complex PHP applications, where things like CVS/SVN support or integrated debugging are crucial. Choosing the right tools for the right jobs is the key.

Well, this is of course an age-old debate, but there are different levels of course. You say “GUI Tools” as opposed to text editors. Well, this is a text editor in a window, as are all text editors. Where do you draw the line? Syntax highlighting is proven to be effective and beneficial, but vim has that too. Code completion is also handy, but vim can do that too. So for all those kinda things, there is not that much difference.

But, however, the new kind of programming will be done by using components, not writing the actual code. Reusing code is what it is all about. There is experimental software for visually programming where you literally combine 3D (and 2D) buildingblocks in virtual space and draw connections between them to design software. Now that can be useful, because it reduces complexity. It requires, however, an open mind.

GUI tools for web development make me laugh.

I remember about 8 years ago writing out my php scripts in a damn notebook then typing them out in a text editor for testing/production. I guess tools like this have their place, but I honestly don’t see the point.

I really prefer the Zend Studio to this though, but I do 90% of my coding in vim

btw, any one heard anything yet about the PC version for BioShock being released? The XBOX360 is out already in the scene.
