It was cost, most of the stuff i wanted was’nt available at the time,and i did’nt see the point on paying on top of my isp fee’s for something they could’nt offer me.
Still have one account but its only a small useage account.
Demoniod had all the films i wanted , so i’ll continue to use them until i find something better.

darioargento, what was your reason you don’t use your usenet accounts anymore??.Is it cost? Or you prefer torrents that much better. Not talking about scene bullshit releases now but from other collectors who seem to worhsip usenet.

Here’s pretty much how this scene works.

1. You get access to some iso of common interest that you shouldn’t have.
2. You tell people in charge of a topsite that you have this file, and upload it.
3. Now you’re allowed to download any of the other files off the site.

The motivation scheme is set up so that people who contribute content get access to more content, providing an incentive for people who post content to keep posting more. Often, pirates are members of multiple sites, and will do little more than post content from one site to the other all because they possess the special skill of being able to copy a file from one site to another. Does’nt sound too hard does it. Google a wonderful Tool. LOL

Thats why i prefer sites like demoniod for the sheer choice of other people’s collections ,real film fans building a community based on sharing.
Let the scene disappear back to their older than the internet servers and let real fans unite in what we all love the most, finding that elusive title that is not available in our home countries.And seeding it so others can see it as well.

Are you really that stupid? Sceners are not like Doctors searching for the cure for cancer!. Anyone with a bit of computer knowledge could do the same. If every scene group disappeared tomorrow, within a week they would all be replaced by other people willing to share their collection.

Very nice list, but none of them actually appeal to me , but i’m sure the groups would appreciate the extra exposure u just gave them.
As i’ve said before i only dl region 3 dvd9’s or dvd5’s that r upped by collectors who own the ORIGINAL DVD, I dont Dl scene releases, not from public trackers or private. Whilst your knowlegde of High Def cracking is impessive (we all have access to google by the way)its neither part or parcel to the point that i dont like what the scene stands for. I hope they close all the holes and go back to their enclosed networks, as your so obsessed with them maybe u should go with them to.

just to better explain what i think… look at next exampe of scene work in new hdvd/brd age (it’s not pure rips of hdvd/brd -> it’s just re-encoded and deprotected using free x264/aac codecs:

Anyway we both have our ideals, 99% of my stuff is 1-1 dvdrips and not scene, i do appreciate what they do, not their attitude, The real talent is the coders and crackers who before u say are in scene groups. Without the talent the groups would be nothing. so respect to them.

did you ever can imagine that most fullDVD releases also came from “scene”?

take a time and look how much new dvd’s released by scene…
scene preffer xvid for collecting all movies… but you still can find old movies from scene.. and 99% new blockbusters are released both in xvid-dvdrip / fulldvd format by scene groups..

now we have x264/aac encoded hdvd/brd movies at 720p/1080p with size 4.5gb-8gb… clean with protections… and to watch this you not need brand new monitor with hdmi.. just media player and aac/avc codec -> ALL FROM SCENE… and this is not because scene like public leak to p2p, just most scene groups don’t care too much about leaks down to p2p while other groups CARE… we must respect’em… even if we not like’ their state….

I dont dl scene releases at all, i prefer full dvd rips , so sorry to piss on yr parade, if the scene died tomorrow, and i wish it would as all it populates r people like u, so far up the arse of the scene that THEY actually believe their own importance, Your the very example of why people prefer torrents and even limewire, filesharing is about a little give and take,
i hope they catch the sceners and it dies a bloody death, your atitude towards thinking people actually r bothered by the scene is laughable at the extreme and pathetic , get a life your really not that important and neither r these little boys pirating films, i collect movies upped by fans not after respect or to be the first, all these people want is to SHARE their love for films with people who feel the same, DVD rips dont come from scene their shop bought products , DEATH TO THE SCENE , LONG LIVE proper FIlE SHARING . As i said i DONT DL cams, i have newgroups accounts and no longer use them, I like phishybongwaters know the scene as i use to be involved in the days before Bittorrent was even a idea, yr so called elitism is sickening , recognition and respect is all it use to be about, not prevention.

your words show that you nor even tried to understand “the scene”… and swedupe and other similar sites is nothing more than just a tracker site, where sceners and others can check dupes and recent releases… it’s more like a tool for ppl closed to scene than “scene”… if you find using google, you can find more sites like swedupe… two on most known is vcdquality and nforce, but this is not scene, this is mirror of scene -> leaked to public… at all those sites you can read what scene brings, but you can’t get most of that if not “in scene”… only part of stuff that leaked down to p2p

Xw0lf 90% u say, so the scene domitates the file servers , what such bolloxs, i would say its closer to 10% scene and 90% us Normals anyone can rip a cd or dvd, people import region 1 or 3 DVD’s and rip them months in advance of other country’s cinima release, its not scene just fans wanting to “SHARE”
All the scene bring r virus infested cracked programs , games that rarely work and shit quality cams filmed by morons who can’t set up their camera (autofocus off guys).
