Ha, trell you assuming idiot it's a mostly acoustic album. And you're just as big a fool for going from one extreme (messiah) to another (garbage). The fact is, he can write a bloody good tune! You'd have trouble finding a music critic anywhere, not just in NME, that disagrees with that.

Do I really need to listen to it? It's pretty obvious what I'm going to get is a mess of distorted, badly tuned guitars & feedback, together with uninspired bass riffs, and drums that would make Meg White sound like Neil Peart….

….exactly like what the Libertines & Babyshambles sounded like!

I'm not going to judge him cos he's a smackhead, cos he's stupid, or because in spite of his addiction, he exploits his celeb status to score in jail, and get let off for several drug-related offences that would send anyone else to prison without a second thought.

I'm judging him on the basis that every single piece of music that he's done so far has been garbage, and that fad mags like NME treat him like the new messiah of music.

for a guy people has been predicted dead for years, he is hanging pretty well, thanks for the links.
The album is pretty decent imo, graham coxon collaboration gives it a nice touch, people judge him for the wrong reasons, but then again he is in the media.
