Perimeter 2 New Earth-FLT

KDV Games studio recently finished their work on new sci-fi real time strategy Perimeter 2: New Earth and scene group Fairlight released the game few moments ago. I am not a big fan of sci-fi games and the graphic inteface doesn’t really look that good in this game, but it’s all about gameplay with strategies. The release size is fairly small, just around 2 gigs, so give it a try and see for yourself!

Perimeter II is a strategy game for fans of the Perimeter Universe who are willing and ready to know the truth about the fate of Exodus, Harkback and the Empire. The story of Perimeter II: New Earth follows the events from the original game. The Exodus, lead by the wise Spirits, have been searching for the New Earth. The Harkback have lost faith in the Spirits, overthrown their rule, and decided to head back for the Old Earth, not believing its death. Both sides took the final step on their way, but the chain has closed and mortal enemies entered the same planet face to face.

Ideas of territorial gameplay and landscape modification introduced in the original game are now realized on a new concept & technology level. The VistaGame Engine enhances the dynamics and depth of gameplay, turning the battlefield into an arena for the confrontation of two elements — ground and water.

Game features:

  • Territorial warfare, based on the conflict of water and ground, brings gameplay to a new dimension.
  • Unit transformation assures quick and effective reaction to the events on the battlefield as well as tactical diversity.
  • Newly introduced Action-elements: players can enter the battle using the Providence – a Tactical Manipulator of Direct Action – and its super attacks: such as huge explosions, meteor showers, and more.
  • Newly introduced RPG-elements: players can dig the gaming maps in search of psy-crystals that are used to unlock and upgrade Providence’s super attacks. Furthermore, psy-crystals unlock important secrets about the past of New Earth.
  • Exodus – the greatest expedition in the history of mankind, has reached its goal. But does it mean the end of suffering? And if New Earth is a trap, what will be the cost?

    i actually bought this game after loving the original, i really wouldnt bother wasting your bandwidth, its a bug ridden turd of a game and i regret laying out £20 for it stear well clear

    After the first game and expansion which i really enjoyed, this came as a real dissapointment. Other than the graphics and same poor voice acting this game bare almost no realation with the orginal. One massive alteration was the complete removal of subterrain units, which has erased a whole level of strategy from the game. Perimeter 2 is a mere husk of the game that perimeter 1 is.

    @24 Maybe because its made by a different company, the first was made by codemasters and they are really good and have made some sweet games but the 2nd is made by KDVgames and ive never even heard of them before.

    The design of the units is nice, and some other things looked pretty too, but that's all. The interface is ugly, the voices are pretty boring, the gameplay made me want to sleep, etc etc . . .

    Too bad, because this one could have been a cool game.
