Penumbra Black Plague Update 1 0 1-ViTALiTY
A third update from ViTALiTY which was pred this night is a first patch for 2-month old first-person horror adventure Penumbra: Black Plague. We didn’t inform you about this release here at Releaselog as it was quite a minor 1 CD release and the popularity of adventures is constantly decreasing. Anyway, this patch fixes quite a few problems, most importantly game crashes and quest bugs.
Changelog:
-Fixed crash when entering Library and Messhall using older graphics card and certain driver versions.
-Fixed crash when entering Infected Corridors and having the “substance”, caused by having done some things in a particular order.
-Fixed crash when picking objects and not having assigned a key to Rotate.
-Fixed ATI HD and X1000 series graphics glitches.
-Optimised to only make 3 updates / sec for particles not visible, sounds with block setting and mesh entities.
-Added alternate solutions to puzzle in level 2 & Level 4.
-Corrected portal setting in Level 01.
-No longer possible to be pushed outside of level when coming to level 03 from level 01.
-Added “collide character” to electric locker in Level 01.
-The alarm sound is not triggered if player has already locked himself in the room, level 19.
-Door04 is now locked in Level 7 during the intro sequence.
-Fixed minor glitch during an event in Level 7.
-The hand is not able to fall down the hole in Level 10.
-Renamed Deutch -> Deutsch (lol)

This game is very good, feels kinda like the exploration parts of the Half-Life series with better real-world puzzle solving.
There were points where I felt afraid, and that is awesome!

@16 - Why are you visiting, looking at comments, and posting on a site that is so bad? They’ve put a hell of a lot more work than I have into a rls site for me to complain.
This game got a lot of good reviews, so I downloaded a few days ago. Not everyone likes just shooter games, so please post more of these great adventure games. It shouldn’t have been missed.

I think that adventures were, are and will be for special gamers folk who enjoy a good story while using brain. ;o)
Its the high increase of 3d-shooter-gamers, while the amount of adv.players are only a few, think about it.

Exactly. It has a steady follow up just rlslog have no clue about it. They always try to be smart and sarcastic about this genre while they post farm simulators for 3 yr old whatnots.

Great atmospheric adventure/puzzle horror survival game. in the era that the old game art houses are acquired by international corporations and pump out high budget crap after crap,its always refreshing to see small studios keeping the true pc games spirit.

Hello,can anybody tell me how to install this update? I downloaded it, and now I don’t know what to do. I tried to copy it in ‘redist’ folder, but it doesn’t fix my problem (after entering Messhall, the barrel is already burning, sprinklers are on and I can’t open the door). Please, help!
