Penelope DVDRip XviD-ARiSCO

A bit over a month after the CAM of this film from Prevail, Arisco release a DVDRip, which is great news. The article for the Prevail CAM release can be found HERE. This is sort of a Fantasy and Romance mixture, so I’m not sure how many of you will find this one interesting, but the IMDB ratings look very good at 7.6 so it should be worth a watch in any case. Most of you are probably waiting for the R5 of Vantage Point which should be released with english audio sometime today, so watch this while you wait.

Edit: Penelope.R5.XViD-PUKKA, was released a few hours after the R4 DVDRip was released by ARiSCO.

Quality: The quality on this release looks really good. Both video and audio quality are very high and squeezed onto one cd. Enjoy.

In this modern day romantic tale, Penelope is about a young girl’s inspiring journey, a mysterious family secret and the power of love. With all odds against her, in order for Penelope to break the family curse, she must find true love with “one of her own kind” and realize the most important life lesson, “I like myself the way I am.” Penelope Wilhern, born to wealthy socialites, is afflicted by the Wilhern spell that can only be broken when she finds love. Hidden away in her family’s estate, the lonely girl meets a string of suitors in her parent’s futile attempt to break the curse. Each eligible bachelor is enamored with Penelope and her sizable dowry; until her curse is revealed. Lemon, a mischievous and eager tabloid reporter wants a photograph of the mysterious Penelope and hires Max to pose as a prospective suitor to get the shot.

    New guy here, but I’m curious as to why some releases are a height of 256? I know that some are a result of a lengthier movie(and are fine for computer viewing).

    For me personally, 272 is the limit that I’m willing to watch on my TV. Even then 272 bothers me, but 256?

    What am I not understanding?

    That’s the Russian R5 rip. INTERFILM is a Russian release group. So their DVDRip is our R5 ;)

    At last, an actual film that is not HDRip or cheap, pointless, straight to internet horror rips! I have to say Im quiet keen on this although romantic isn’t my strongest genre of film. This looks quite good with a great cast. I am probably going to wait to see if I cann get my hands on a DVDR of this (in rapidshare links) but if I can’t I’ll certainly be downloading this DVDRip. Thanks RLSLOG! Hope this may see the continuation of more cinematic releases (Cloverfield, NT:BOS etc etc) and not crappy low budget horror flicks!!! :P

    @ 7, why not convert and reduce? you covert avi or whatever the format to dvd to reduce it to whatever size screen you want.

    The sample photos look they are taken from a 70’s flashback sequence.

    Christina Ricci is less attractive now that she is skeleton thin. She looked much better with a bit of meat on her bones.

    Surprisingly good film with a large array of really great British personalities thrown in, which was nice - the accent seemed a bit confused though, some people were too British & others were too American, make your bloody minds up :/

    I found this movie surprisingly good …..it has humor that actually works…albeit the film is a bit long towards the end…the beginning is hilarious…but the acting and plot moves along fine…oh and this isnt a movie for your kids…its an adult romantic-comedy kinda deal..i wouldnt have my kids watching it….and for the love of God will people get some tastes in here…after all the folks begging for Vantage Point…I saw that one too..and trust me…not that great…its ok…i mean if you want a merry-go-round thriller headache…otherwise its not bad…but VP aint good either.
