If you get the error message:
An error occured while retrieving the license.
you only have to type in the right version number in Keygen. This Keygen can be used for different versions, so be sure you type in YOURS.

Wenn ihr die Meldung:
An error occured while retrieving the license.
bekommt, müsst ihr nur die richtige Versionsnummer im Keygen eintragen, da dieser Keygen für verschiedene Versionen genutzt werden kann.

Vista users – I kept getting error 120. Even after I had followed the XP compatibility and run as admin instructions. I had to make one more change to get mine to work. I had to change the version number listed in the keygen, to the version of tmpgenc.

Its up and running now

This is a WINALL release, it will work on every version of windows this way…
The person who said to move the batch.exe out while running the patch the first time was correct.

Steps…
1. Install Program
2. Run program then close at license screen
3. Run keygen and change only the version to the version you’re currently using.
4. Move the Batch.exe out of the install directory and run patch.
5. Move back the batch.exe to install directory, move out the tmpgenc express.exe out and run patch on batch.exe
6. move all .exe’s back into the install folder and program will work.

hey all. i’ve tried everything and i cannot get rid of the class error mentioned in post 101, etc.

i have xp home sp2, i’ve done the single user installation, changing the version number, deleting the pegasys folder in application data AND the registry value after uninstalling each time. at my wits end here…

however, i do have another tmpgenc program installed (other that xpress). but i don’t see how that could make much of a difference. let y’all know!

Thanks for the help solving the “Cannot find the class.(error code 0x 8004800B)” problem I had with XPSP2.
Thanks to Sander’s advice in post 87.The answer seems to be checking “install for this user only” during installation.
The only divergence I made from Sander’s instructions was leaving the name & email address alone as it appears in patcher(as suggested by others)& hitting “patch” before “generate” as per Embrace’s instructions (I don’t think the order matters?)
After uninstalling non-working version, I deleted TMPGEnc4XP folder in Documents and Settings\My Name\Application Data\Pegasys Inc and deleted TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress REG_SZ value in Registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>PegasysInc.>Common>License>TMPGLib, which was left after uninstall, and rebooted.
Anyway, I now have a working copy of v.4.5.1.254 and will buy the program if I find it useful.

I think most problem is.. that people forgot to change the release number in keymaker to the number they use .. me i made the same mistake (Tmpgenc 3) .. i used release number that was default in keymaker like 3.09.166 .. i had same probs with error number 120 .. than i filled in the right release number 3.1.1.174 it works great.. thx to haze

@43 and my problem is same, i.e. Patch etc is done, starting application for the third time, says verifying license…License verified….Initializing …Error “At address 000A01DB , Read error occured against address 000A01DB”

Have installed FFDShow MPEG4, XPCodec pack.

Can anybody kindly point out where to find help to get around this.
