    Allright, can’t get it working. I’ve installed the patch and generated a key. But when I start the program it ask my name and email and a seriekey. Donnu what to do. Propely missed something in the NFO.

    to get patch to work on vista is difficult

    you need to copy the Batch.exe file to another folder. then tell the patcher where to find it. patch, then copy the patched file back to the original folder.

    now you just need to get the license working

    this is one of the worst nfos i have ever seen. it should say this is NOT a winall release

    Hey guys, I got it working… It’s just that u have to use the default info that comes with the “keygen”, so no custom user name or email address with this release…

    Just apply the patch to the exe and then make it generate the reg file or somethin’, first the bottom that’s down then the one thet’s up, that’s it… Just don’t change tha user/email that’s already there ‘cuz it won’t be able to create a file since it won’t match the user name and password… Or at least that’s what I think, but that’s how I got it working…

    how do i use the keygen.. it tells me key was generated. but no digit appear in the key spaces in the window presented to me when i start the programme.

    I had problem installing at first but heres how i got it to run on xp pro
    1) install and run, exit when lic window appears
    ii)open up patcher/keygen
    iii)click on patch…..when patch done
    iv)change ketfile maker output address to the same as install directory….leave name and email info as is
    v) hit generate
    worked for me

    Here’s how I got it to run on xp pro
    1) install and execute once, exit when lic window appears
    2) open up patcher/keygen (Keygen.exe)
    3) click on patch…..when patch done
    4) Leave Keyfile maker output address to the “Documents and Settings” path (should be default)leave name and email info as is
    5) Hit generate

    I INSTALLED FINE WITH WIN XP HOME SERVICE PACK 2 HOW TO INSTALL

    1. INSTALL SET UP EXE.

    2. AFTER INSTALL IS FINISHED CLOSE OUT INSTALL AND OPEN PROGRAM. DONT WORRY ABOUT THE PATCH/GENERATER YET.

    3. WHEN PROGRAM OPENS YOU WILL SEE A SCREEN THAT ASKS FOR NAME E MAIL AND THE SERIAL KEY AT THAT POINT CLOSE THE PROGRAM OUT.

    4. NOW WITH THE PROGRAM CLOSED OUT OPEN THE KEYGEN EXE. FILE
    AND PRESS THE PATCH BUTTON WITHOUT MAKIN ANY CHANGES TO THE KEYGEN AFTER DOIN THAT NEXT

    5. PRESS THE GENERATE BUTTON WITHOUT MAKIN ANY CHANGES TO THE KEYGEN AFTER DOIN THAT CLOSE OUT THE KEYGEN EXE. AND

    6. REOPEN THE PROGRAM AND ENJOY UR NEW COPY OF TMPGenc.

    LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKS OR U HAVE PROBLEMS

    When I reopen the program (nbr 6) I get the license validation screen again.

    Serial nbr, name and e-mail add are filled in automatically.
    When I click “Obtain a license”, I get an error pop-up like in my pevious post.

    I must be doing something wrong?

    I’m a Win XP Pro (SP2) user,

    I read the NFO and tried all of the above guides but its still not working for me.

    This is what I do :

    1. intall TE4XP_Retail_4.4.1.237_setup_en.exe
    2. open the program for the 1st time and exit on the license validation window
    3. open the patcher/keyfile maker : click Patch and when patching is done click Generate
    4. Reopen the program. I still get the license validation window but this time the serial nbr, name and e-mail are completely filled in
    5. I click on the Obtain License button and then I get an error message : “An error occured while retrieving the license. Refer to the details below. System error(120)”

    I don’t see any details below though …

    Anyone knows what I’m doing wrong ?

    I GOT IT TO WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1.) Well it works for me all i did was run the .exe and install it.

    2.)Then i opened the program FIRST, but a window popped up and said that i had to type in the serial and all dat other info. so i chose EXIT.

    3.)Then I opened the keygen and clicked on PATCH FIRST.

    4.)Then I opened it again, same type serial info shyt came up, so then i hit EXIT again.

    5.)Then I went back to the keygen and hit Generate and then i clicked on the program icon ONCE AGAIN this time it worked

    ….Good program thnx. hope this helps.

    But I’m affraid this does not work for me either.
    So you should EXECUTE AND EXIT the program TWICE before generating the keyfile : once before patching and once after patching.

    That’s what I did now. When I generate the keyfile and open the program for the THIRD time I still get the license validation window. Hitting the ‘Obtain a license’ button then is not working. I keep getting the same error-message.

    Do you now the serial nbr with which you got it to work ?

    I finally got it to work
    It had to do with the program being installed for all users or for one user. All users was checked by default at the beginning of the installation of the .exe file. I changed it to only one user. It works fine now.

    Ok this nfo really do suck but it works in Vista.
    What you need to do is to right-click on the keygen.exe file and open it
    “as Administrator”.
    The click the patch button, next Generate.
    That should do the trick.

    Great works for me !!! I think Nero is sooooo unstable and its poo, This is much better and easier to use and doesnt stall when playing video in the video window, also with nero when you export a large avi file the sound goes out of sync….this is cool and much better. no problems and faster encoding

    oh by the way some anti virus programs will stop the rar 8 file (the keygen) from downloading, i tried this with mcafee and it only downloaded 7 rar files so i uninstalled it and used AVG and it all downloaded…

    After trying all the above mentioned solutions for installing this on Vista with little success I have found a solution that works for me and will hopefully help; all you guys still having problems.

    All I did after patching and applying reg info was to run TMPGEnc in compatibility mode for win XP and it started fine, after this I turned off compatibility and it now starts fine in Vista.

    Hope that may be of use to some of you.

    #76 - I have tired yours and ever other persons solution for installing on vista and still no go. After patch and Lic generation I run EXE and the License validation window pops up. All the info is there that the crack was suppose to fill in. I click on obtain license and I get the following error:

    I’m sorry to hear that #77, this was a big problem for me for a while.

    The only other suggestion I could make would be to do the entire process in WinXP compatibility mode.

    By that I mean start by setting the TMPGenc setup.exe to run in compatibility mode…

    - 1. right click the .exe
    > 2. Properties
    > 3. Compatibility
    > 4. Check the ‘Run the program in compatibility mode for’ box
    > 5. Select Windows XP from dropdown box
    > 6. Click ‘Show settings for all users’
    > 7. Repeat steps 4 & 5
    > 8. Click OK twice closing both open windows.

    Now run the setup.exe

    When installed run the program once.

    Now repeat the process for setting up compatibility mode only this time do it to the keygen.exe

    Right click the keygen.exe and select Run as administrator

    Click patch

    Click generate

    Repeat the steps for compatibility mode but this time do it to the ‘TMPGenc 4.0 Xpress.exe’ shortcut on your desktop.

    Run the ‘TMPGenc 4.0 Xpress.exe’ shortcut from your desktop

    The program should now start fine and automatically validate the licence.

    Exit the program.

    Right click the ‘TMPGenc 4.0 Xpress.exe’ select properties and turn off compatibility mode by reversing the steps we did to make it run in compatibility mode.

    Run the program again, it should now start fine without the need for compatibility mode.

    I have tried this procedure again today after uninstalling and it has worked perfectly.

    Again, I hope that this method will work for at least some of you Vista users as TMPGenc is a very useful program which I have been using for ages and it’s nice to now be using the latest version. ** Please note that this method will also work with the HAZE version of TMPGenc DVD Author which uses the same patcher. **

    For any who still cant get it to work there is a slightly older version of this software available (ver 4.3.1.222) which comes with a crack rather than a patcher thus eliminating the registration process. I have just upped that older version and the link is included here which will take you to it.

    To Marvin Stein and everyone else who hasn’t gotten it to work, I had the same issues and finally got it. The process that everyone else describes works just fine (install, close, run keygen, hit patch, hit generate, re-open) but I had a different issue. When I opened the Keygen, the version was not listed at 4.4.1.237, it was something else. Make sure the Keygen version matches the version you are trying to run. Also, I checked 1 user only like someone suggested. And I am running XP pro. Hope this helps.

    I’m reinstalling TMPgenc’s Express 3.0, DVD Author Pro, MPEG Editor 1.3.2.98 AND the AC-3 dolby thing. I can successfully get licenses validated on everything except the AC-3 dolby thing, which of course makes other stuff useless.

    I tried to new versions of MPEG editor, DVD author, etc, but can’t get them to validate at all.

    Some of the applications just say “can’t validate license with server” or something like that, while one also gives a LEAPS0018 message.

    I’d try the keygen thing if only I knew where to find it. Perhaps its buried in this forum, but I’ve looked and looked here and I’ve been all over the pegasys and tempgenc sites, all to no avail.

    If anyone has an idea about the license problem, I could use it. I’m plain vanilla Vista 64-bit, running normal security, defender, etc. I am running through a local LAN to a satellite modem, but other than delays, it’s not any different than DSL. I’ve tried turning off all firewall, etc, but it hasn’t helped. (it’s back on now!)

    Or, can anyone point me to patch/keygen?

    Hello dudes,

    I am quite sure about helping a lot of people with this.

    Everyone who encounteres problems with the error code, with the patch, keygen or installation process should read this very carefully:

    First, uninstall the TMPGEnc application.
    Second, reinstall the whole program, PAYING ATTENTION to what folder you are installing the files to! This can be viewed by clicking the “custom installation” button during the installation process. In the following screen, hit “one-user-installation” or something like that, and write dows the installation path (or ultimate folder).

    When the installation process is finished, hit exit.
    Start TMPGEnc Xpress 4.0, and wait a few seconds. Now, hit exit, without filing in any information in the textboxes!

    Now, browse to the keygen/patch, RIGHT click,hit properties, and go te the “compatibility-tab”. Change compatibility mode to “XP professional”, and don’t forget to check ‘run as administrator’ at the bottom of that same screen.Exit properties.

    Then, open the patch, fill in YOUR name, YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, CHANGE the version number to 4.4.1.237, and HIT GENERATE. The liscence file is now succesfully generated, and the “cannot find classer error” will be eliminated.

    Then, BEFORE YOU HIT THE PATCH BUTTON!, CHECK that the folder in which the patch should be installed, is the same as the one you installed the application in! (you wrote it down during the installation process). If needed, change the folder!
    NOW, hit PATCH, and close down the Keygenerator.

    You copy of TMPGEnc 4.0 Express 4.4.1.237 should now be fully activated and operational without any error messages.

    Any other error message you may receive has nothing to do with te patch, but will be a result of a badly configuered operating system or a lack of video or audio codecs.

    By the way, The perfect, NO TROUBLES-video codec programm is undoubltly FFDSHOW! You should uninstall every other codec pack or every unique codec installed on your system, and switch over to using that one. You will most certainly never, ever receive any codec-related error if you do that.

    When I hit the “Patch Key” in Keygen.exe, I got an error message saying that it TMPGEnc4XBatch doesn’t exist. When I looked at the TMPGEnc4X directory, there is no such a file. What is this file and where can I find it?

    Here is a new Keygen that really works and before someone comes and tells that is a virus or something PLEASE scan the file first as I did with Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0.1.325 (paid version BTW)

    @43 and my problem is same, i.e. Patch etc is done, starting application for the third time, says verifying license…License verified….Initializing …Error “At address 000A01DB , Read error occured against address 000A01DB”

    Have installed FFDShow MPEG4, XPCodec pack.

    Can anybody kindly point out where to find help to get around this.

    I think most problem is.. that people forgot to change the release number in keymaker to the number they use .. me i made the same mistake (Tmpgenc 3) .. i used release number that was default in keymaker like 3.09.166 .. i had same probs with error number 120 .. than i filled in the right release number 3.1.1.174 it works great.. thx to haze
