PCTools Registry Mechanic is one of those system optimizing tools. There are so many of them, and this one seems to be nothing more different. Umm, wait! Actually it does have a “strong” marketing – “As featured on Dr. Phil™©®”. So if it’s featured on Dr. Phil show, then it must be some good sh!t! :P :mrgreen:

    How come when I run the installer, it says ‘This will install registry mechanic 7.0 on your computer’

    This isn’t version 8.

    Just download 8.0 from their official website. The version included in this file is 7.0 :(

    If you have gotten this error then I will give you a simple solution.

    Go to – Control Panel > Regional and Language Options >

    - Click on the “Language” tab > Click “Details” – On the Settings tab remove anything that’s not “English” Then simply reboot your pc.

    I had Japanese script installed so I removed it and Registry Mechanic booted up perfectly

    the worst version ever
    i uninstaled and reinstal 7.0 version.
    the 8.0 was using the processor at 80+/90+ ???
    i was curious about the service tuneup… in rest is the same like the prevoius versoin.

    keygen doesn’t work!…it registers but then soon as you update it says subscription status is invalid!!!!!!!

    I used the keygen included in this with the trial version of Registry Mechanic 9 and it worked.
