Ive never liked the PCDJ products, always found them to be very ‘uncontrollable’, You really need hardware to control them properly like those controller decks. Tracktor, Deckadance and Virtual DJ are more user friendly if you ask me.

Is this better then vdj? I need a program that will allow me to take the lyrics of one song and play it over the beat of another, so far i haven’t been able to find any program that does this.

the words, is called acccapela and the music only, is called instrumentals you can find them on the web, and then use any program to play both

Theres no way to extracting a vocal from a track, you can filter some out with a band pass filter or with EQ but it will still have instruments in the files especially if the instruments are in the same frequency range as the vocals ie: a guitar or keys. Best thing to do it to try and find an ‘accapella’ (vocals only with no backing track) of the song you are trying to remix/mash up. This program could do that for you bt i think you would be best to try it in a DAW (digital audio workstation) like FL Studio, Cubase, Logic etc etc…

I am really interested in “digital dj-ing” and I prefer Traktor, but recently my co-worker suggested me DSS DJ and it was love at first sight :) It is really great program. It is similar to Traktor but with less options, something like Traktor lite, but DSS has much, much better “beat matching” it’s almost impossible to make a mistake. Anybody can be a DJ with this program.

Agreed, this is one of the worst (but not the only) virtual DJ programs out there.

this is the same as djdecks (djdecks dot be)… D1DJ are cooperating with the programmer of djdecks… a couple of months back djdecks had a price of 38 euros… now it costs 135 euros (~199 dollars) I was thinking about buying djdecks since it was affordable, but now I just lost all respect… Nice way to loose customers… The apps are even supposed to co-exist for a while, what a scam…

    Thats sooo yesterday! :P

    Deckadance 1.20.6 Club Edition-TSRH

And to anyone suggesting Cubase, reason, they are DAWs! Not really good at all for live DJing, Ableton live on the other hand tho, is in a league of its own. Live kicks ass!
