PATRICIAN III-DEViANCE

It has been some times since latest DEViANCE’s release and I was already mentioning this in some previous post, but many torrent trackers re-released this 3 years old title for some reason so we can remind you of the old times a bit. Guys from the group had a little easier job on this title, as it has no protection so there’s no crack included. Patrician 3 was little cheap-looking real-time strategy without bigger preconditions to become somehow popular, but you would say that about most of games released such a long time ago…

Patrician III is a real-time trading simulation featuring elements of construction and the historical background of maritime trade in Northern Europe during the 1300’s. As a resident of a medieval town, your goal is to rise from the status of a simple, insignificant trader to that of a Patrician and perhaps even become the head of the Hanseatic League. You can raise your standing through town improvement and diplomacy or fill your coffers through piracy and smuggling.

Game features:

  • New Map-Editor – Enables the gamer to create his own maps to play on. Between 16 and 25 towns from a pool of 40 towns can be selected for single and multiplayer games.
  • Establish and build your own towns – Up to two new towns can be built by the player during a game.
  • Discover and destroy pirate villages – Prove that you are worthy of your career.
  • Enhanced options for expeditions: Enhanced and detailed orders for your captains, signature of contracts with far away towns, enhanced search areas to look for new business opportunities.
  • New seasonal and enhanced weather effects: Rain, snow, ice, trees and bushes in bloom create a new sensation of time and also have an impact on production and transportation.
  • With the new buildings, animated trees, animals and horse coaches, Patrician Gold is one of the most beautiful and visually overwhelming trading games of all times.
  • Six new functional buildings enhance the player’s spectrum of options (warehouses, mints, elementary schools, barns…)

  • Newly designed artificial intelligence adjusts itself according to the player’s experience and ability. This allows for a tougher challenge with the computer controlled opponents.
  • New land routes for trading are now possible between certain cities, especially the famous land trade route between Hamburg and Bremen which was demanded by gamers…
  • Enhanced trading options offer more comfort and configurability. The store keeper controls purchases and sales, and you can, for example, load and save your automatic trade routes.
  • Ships are displayed with detailed damage models, so you can now easily see the condition of every ship.
  • All production sites have been reworked, remodelled and enhanced with new animations. Many production sites can now be combined to improve the visual character of certain units, especially farms. The cities have also been enhanced and now offer more ground to build new houses and businesses.

System requirements:

  • Pentium II – 450 MHz or above
  • 64 MB RAM
  • 660 MB of free space
  • 32 MB Direct 3D – Accelerated video card

This is a great game. When I was a student, we played this constantly during the exams with five people. You should have heard the bell every second through the whole building. Great memories :)

bajs, don’t be so ignorant. This game is practically non-existant on torrents and a re-release can give people another chance to see and play the game. Also it will get more exposure to a little known game.

It has been awhile since I last asked a question concerning this odd and bothersome bit of nothing, which should nave have happened in the first place. Patrician III has an editor alright, no one can deny this and, when it works it is a great editor. I’ve tried it and I know. The only problem is, and I don’t know how wide spread this would be…is that the editor doesn’t work for me and probably countless others until we can obtain a MFCO42.DLL the O might be 0 it has been sometimes and I can’t remember. At one time there was a web page which contained the required function, which could be down loaded. Now I can find nothing about this. All I get is the hype and blah about Patrician III and its map editor. What good is the editor if you can’t use it? Last time around before my latest HD crash, someone sent me the MFCO42.DLL from one of the German pages I guess but, I never got his email ad etc., and now I’m lost again. If anyone can help me please send to gbuckner22@charter.net Last time it took six months for me to get this. I hope it won’t be as long this time.
