This has good graphics? For what time period? Looks like it has pretty good graphics for the late 90’s. Seriously though….that soldier looks like Pitfall Harry with a military motif.

Is it just me or are more people getting kind of annoyed by the games posts? Everyone knows that a SkidRow game sucks ass 9 out of 10 times, so there’s no use in “hoping we like it”. Also, the graphics are “not” good, unless your comparison is Super Mario Bros. I appreciate people taking the time to post these worthless games, but please be honest and say something like:

“SkidRow has done it again. Here’s a mediocre wargame for all you die-hards to play”.

Nope, unless you compare it to actual strategy game :)

Graphics are subjective. For example, the first Panzer General looks very nice even compared to todays standards, and it doesnt require a nuclear reactor powered pc…

To all the “graphics are bad…” people:

Why don’t you just shut the F up and go play Crysis or something with “good” graphics? Did you know that graphics don’t make the game good? I’ll tell you a secret: some games are good because they are FUN (ever heard about that?), or they have a good story, or even a good gameplay… Should we not like a game only because it’s mediocre, or because it is released by Skidrow? If you don’t like it, does that mean that NOBODY should like it? I really like rlslog, bu MAN are there some stupid and arrogant people. I think there are those that just wait to comment something bad about something that doesn’t even interest them. Is it so hard just to skip a post of a game/movie/whatever that you don’t like? Damn, I’m pissed!
    /end of rant!

    P.S.

Thanks for the post and for the links.

hey guys. these types of games are for die hards like me. no the graphics arnt pretty but thats not important. all the processing power goes into hit calculations and AI. you want a real challenge go play any of the Combat Mission games.

ill try this one out. looks like combat missions…but so many do and so many fail

Hmm, wonder if skidrow will release the updated version 1.01, since the 1.0 release version has a loading problem.
Since the patch has a ahem.. a protection built in so that those of us with this version that got the problem…can’t play.

I realise your frustration with lack of funds for nice graphic, but have you ever played something like x3 ? Or maybie Gothic ? I don’t think that whoever put good graphic in the game, won’t put good playability also…

‘Wow, the unit has gained a movement point, because it is on the open road’ - real joy. BTW anyone played M.A.X ? That’s a damn good turn based strategy… Nice graphics too, and it came out near the end of the last millenia - so lack of graphic means slopy job done for me.

BTW, can’t start it under Vista 32

@Raphes - it’s not that the patch has a special protection, just SKIDROW did a bad job and did not provide a serial… which is a pity, the first game in the series was released by DEViANCE and did not have this problem.

BTW - I like graphics in this game, but even if it were done in ASCII code it would still be a good game. It is sad that so many people have so little imagination and have to actually “see” everything…
