Madison Square Garden had an auction recently and sold a couple of those jumbo-tron screens used for concerts. They're probably replacing them with something like this. I am having mine delivered monday.....hope it fits down the stairs to my west village brownstone!

What I just don't get... Why buy a TV that big if you could easily buy like... 30 hd projectors? Or even some of these things they have in cinemas? You would even have spare money for a silver screen... (word found at leo ^^).
Waaaay more handy, it would be!

these things are not not meant for a user home but usually for displays on exhibitions as the current flat panels displays are too complicated and / or require too much time to set up. here you have something that theoretically just needs to be plugged in.

For example in E3 in US or GC in EU will naturally attract more people or concerts to show live pics or on the roads tours with this thing mounted on a truck or something like that

@35
and yes Halo 3 or any other graphics intensive thing will look sweet on it

@34 Mr. X
all large size TVs use imaging algorithms to remove the square pixel effect and smooth out the image and they must have an idea how will they do it either bad or good
