After releasing the DVDSCR back in November 2007, DiAMOND brings you the retail DVDRip. This horror/thriller has gotten average reviews, but should be better than your average VoMiT release… This time, DiAMOND chose the standard 1 CD format, but video and audio quality are still very good for this 98 minute film.

Synopsis: Most people who have been alone in a parking garage have probably felt vulnerable to an attacker amidst the silence of the cold concrete walls, but what would you do if your assailant were the attendant? That’s the question posed by P2, which fits into that sub-genre of thrillers that unfold in one primary location (think Mario Bava’s KIDNAPPED, PHONE BOOTH, or WIND CHILL). The script, co-written by Alexandre Aja (THE HILLS HAVE EYES, HIGH TENSION), Franck Khalfoun, and Gregory Levasseur, offers a basic cat-and-mouse tale with a couple of jolts of bone-rattling gore.

    This movie looks good..or I loved Phonebooth, and hope to find some of the ‘effects’ in this one..

    Why do people still encode to XviD ?
    Most hardware can decode even x264 encoded video with nero aac lc audio nowadays.

    Recent versions of x264 are soooo much better than xvid today.

    Oh, really? Well, tell me at least one affordable dvd-player (stand alone), which can decode x264 with aac properly.

    XviD is still the SAFE way - plus: x264 is only better at higher resolutions which you should not go far with low bitrates (for 1- oder 2-cd-releases).

    Because we don’t watch movies on PC but use DVD-DivX players

    Here’s how to download from Megashares;

    Enter the code in the box and “activate” the passport. This will give you a download link. Send that link to a download manager, like GetRight and start downloading the file. When you hit 250MB, the download will stop. Make sure that you do NOT cancel the download, only stop it. Wait whatever amount of time it takes before your “passport” renews. When it does, go back to that page, enter the new code and activate it.

    At this point, you will get a new link to the same file. If your download manager is intelligent enough, you may be able to send the link to it and it will see that it’s a file you’re already downloading and use the new URL. If not, you’ll need to manually copy the new URL, then go to the download manager, tell it you want to change the URL of the existing download, and then paste the new URL in place of the old one.

    Resume the download for another 250MB. Repeat as necessary until you have the entire file.

    Meagshares, like most hosting sites, identifies you by your IP address, so if you can change you IP (by disconnecting/ re-connecting your internet account, going through a proxy, etc) you can probably resume the download almost immediately.

    Note that I typed the above from memory, so if I’ve made any mistakes, maybe someone else can correct me.

    Pretty standard thriller, but as mentioned before, the movie has 1 (Rachel Nichols) plus 2 (nice pair of Rachel boobs) benefits!
