Today we have a new interesting game from Triumph Studios and Codemasters. Titled Overlord you must rise from the bottom of the pile to the top by using the hordes of creatures under your control. This isn’t like Black and White were you get to do things in a good way or an evil way in this game you only options are Evil or more Evil! Included in the mix is also a lot of dark humor and irony which is always a nice addition for me to have in a game like this. An original fun game like this defiantly deserves a quick look even if its not in your usual genre. Have fun i know i will!

Looks cool and seems to have good gfx. I have been playing CNC3:TW and I am having audio issues with the game I cant seem to get the music or when the chick at command tells you info she’s muted or has very low sound while everything else is okay. I decided to buy the kane edition and update it to v1.05.
I remember playing the demo and the sound was fine.

Id rather have Dungeon Keeper 3, which seems to be the inspiration for this game anyway. Lot of similarities between this and Dungeon Keeper, but this isnt as good

Be sure you have your sound set to stereo when you have stereo output. If you set it to surround while you only have stereo that’ll happen.
Not saying this is the fix, but be sure to check it out.

hehehh.. Yea, this game is quite like Dungeon Keeper series.. and i love it, maybe becouse “it’s good to be evil”.. but one thing – as Overlord i HATE my god damn jester. Maybe that’s why he keeps talking things like “The savior of the Tower.. The Most Wise Lord.. The jesters bully”. Anyway – if you like dark humor, fantasy and you’re sick of saving the world – give it a try.

I played the xbox360 demo just last weekend, & have to say I really enjoyed what I saw of the game. I’ve got my xbox360 hooked up to a 19″ samsung flatscreen pc monitor & it looked pretty awesome in the graphics department. Game play is alot of fun too.
Anyone else experiencing a crash to desktop as soon as the first stage loads?
I keep gettin an error. It says wrong disc, and when i downloaded the crack fix i get an error binkw32.dll was not found. wat do i do?

i think you can get binkw32.dll of the iso image and manuelly place it inot the installation directory, if for some reason it didnt install properly. hope this helps.
The game blows on the PC, I deleted it after 20 mins. The controls weren’t smooth at all, it felt very blocky and ruined it completely for me.
how do you make your guy run? walking really slow everywere isnt that fun
The pure joy of commanding a small army of malicious minions almost makes up for Overlord’s control and camera problems.

* Good-looking high-fantasy setting
* Watching minions wreak havoc is fun.
The Bad
* Game requires more precision than the controls allow
* Third-person camera makes it difficult to see what
matters
* Doesn’t really follow through on its evil premise.
This game Sucks!
You know what they say, behind every successful overlord is a hideous pack of insane gremlins.
A real overlord would’ve have to struggle with awkward controls and an obfuscating camera.

The game ran fast for me but i thought it was a bit simplistic.The voice over is rather silly but fun.The fireball powers are not endless.But overall its a nice game thats a breath of fresh air.

To be fair, this is probably as evil as you can get in a T-rated game.
Occasional objectives that require more speed and precision than the controls can muster.
Could stand to be a little more evil.

I used the fixed crack, but for some reason as soon as I double click Overlord.exe I get a windows error.
anyone now if i could play this game i have a 1.6GHz dual core prossesor will it work or will downloading it be a waste

this game is fun and pretty entertaining, good to have if you are borred.
And the controls are pretty damn easy.
The game works fine you just have to change the monitor settings on its configuration to a lower setting.
mine worked at 100hz at 800×600
for the speed problems you should just lower the video settings.
Im getting this windows crashing error as well, with any crack i try, it crashed to desktop as soon as you open Everlord.EXE.
Apparently a lot of people are having this problem. It works on my brothers computer, i bring it to my house, and it crashes…my computer is better too!
I think its a video card problem maybe, i have GeForce 3800GS
