Only aXXo torrents website
I think the most known online group is aXXo. I don’t know exactly if aXXo is one person or a group of persons, nor do I know which country they reside in, but they do a great job of uploading high quality DVD rips. Some of you were against adding aXXo torrents on NTi because they are not scene related. Their last release was “Little Miss Sunshine” on 25 December 2006. Meanwhile, there is a website that posts only aXXo torrents.
aXXotorrents.com, in the beginning linked to the torrents of aXXo in the MiniNova website. Now they host their own torrents. When you come on this website, you get automatically redirected to another website that works as their torrent host, superfundo.org. They still haven’t released anything for 3 weeks now.
They have stopped releasing movies because of the website aXXotorrents.com. They will not release any new torrents until the site is closed.
In the beginning I was a big fan of aXXo movies, but later on when I found out about scene groups, I stopped downloading aXXo. The reasons are 3!
- Scene groups bring their release earlier than aXXo.
- Scene releases mostly include subtitles.
- Movie that are longer than 90 minutes in length no longer have high quality.

The thing about aXXo isn’t when he release the movie,that there are no subs or even (if you think so, I never noticed it) that the quality is bad, but that he was known and had very many steady seeders. It was just way easier to type http://www.thepiratebay.org/user/axxo and you knew that you’de have the movie in 20 min…

aXXo hardly releases movie on 2CD’s, so I agree with u that the quality of a movie with more than 90 minutes is less, then 2CD releases. But it is a reliable source for fast downloading, if u wanne watch a movie and know that most aXXo rips are very good.
Torrents of scene releases are often dead after 3 weeks or so, and if i missed it, or queued it, then it isn’t available anymore. So, then i switch to aXXo. =D
i just have to say: if the movie doesnt come with the subtitles you can get them in any subs site, and axxo releases only on 700mbs its great if you want to see movies that arent that good and you want to see and delete, cause 1.3 is a waste of bandwidth in movies that arent that good, and they are alot.

Scene squabbles aside, it’s seems wise to simply not have the increased notoriety that a web address with axxo’s name in it will provide. It makes him more of a target then others. That’s reason enough to boycott.

the thing with axxo releases is that those are one of the few releases in avi format with a size around 800mb. The others are mostly bin/cue or 2 cd’s.
So I like axxo because I do not have unlimited download and upload and my thing connected to the tv only supports streaming avi/mpg/mpeg from my usb dick
The only reason aXXo’s releases have so many seeders is because they are already unpacked. Just download and play

axxo made great rips ,best quality video and sound, quality was way above diamond or any other group/person out there.
i downloaded most of the axxo rips and there wasn’t ONE that was poor quality or had something that i can complain about.

I agree with Flame and others here. Axxo releases were of decent quality and were small enough to fit on a regular cd. Sorry to see him/them go. Love this place too though.

Comparing a guy who goes to his local videostore and ripping movies to a scene release group is bad enough, but actually thinking his releases are better then Diamond is just laughable, either your comparing DVDscreeners to retail DVDrips, or you have some fucked up codec pack installed which fucks up the scene releases…

I appreciate all the aXXo releases. They have always been good quality and reliable for 1 CD releases. It is also quite easy to find subtitles for them – they usually sync with the standard DVD – no shite scene intros. Shame a few fakes have been appearing recently though.

Too bad aXXo won’t be releasing his movies, I especially hate 2-cd scene releases. Anyways, I found that the latest divx + dr. divx oss is pretty good for converting 2 cds to 1 cd, and the quality is watchable
But still wish they don’t release 2 cd versions, unless it has a high rating in imdb. IMHO there are a lot of crappy and one-time-watch movies, and they definately don’t deserve 2 CDs. Excellent movies though, deserve 3CDs which I recode them to a DVD (or download the DVD/ratDVD/mp4/mkv).

Alright, so he’s back.. yipee? Look at the release timings of “The Prestige” and “Open Season” and look at his rip of these movies timings. He downloads the movies, fixes them up to his default encoding and then releases it as if he got them from DVDs himself. Seriously. Think. It should say “The Prestige DVDRiP XViD-mVs-aXXoRLS” instead of “The Prestige[2006]DvDrip[Eng]-aXXo”. Watch him release Hollywoodland, Children of Men, Lonely Hearts any time soon.

got like 100’s of axxo best releases out there is the only1 that never and i mean NEVER has an out of sync or some like it…

I am not sure I understand the subs point. I think it is very seldomly that subs are included in scene releases (listed on this site). It does not seem to be a standard procedure to include subs.
So it is actually “equally hard” to find subs for scene and axxo releases.
They release the best quality on 1 CD, that’s for sure.

Inter pol is using axxo as a way round peer guardian. make sure they are original release use only web site with sure… do not click links in forums as they have been to fake axxo torrents i dont want to post any links cos i’m sure some dum fuck will click just to see what happens (thats what i did GoD damn it)!! these axxo do not play in Nero showtime/they start in windows then Peer Guardian has a fatal error… i presume unless you turn off your computer unplug your phone and shiver in the corner… i turned of the turned off the computer by unplugging it… i checked the peer guardian archive log and it was Interpol that it last blocked then nothing… archive your logs and someone with better computer skills pls check this out thnx

I posted something earlier but I can’t find where I posted it. Sorry! I would like to know what program is need to convert the files in these movies to DVD. I have ConvertXtoDVD and Nero Smart. They don’t work on these files. The ones I am refering to are on most movie downloads, that say it has more that 1 file, like the new posting of Tourture…it has 51 files…MB but I can’t get them converted. Please help

I DO prefer aXXo because almost all his/their movies have English subs, just look some subs www and you will find…

to Bears23. aXXo rips only dvds! this means that he buys dvds from the shop, rips and puts it on the net. Outside US some movies comes to theatres later, or at the same time when in US, dvds come out of the same movies. Thats why you can download movies from aXXo, at the same time when the movie is played in the theatres of your country.

That’s a gross assumption. What makes you think aXXo or others for that matter are forced to wait until a movie can be bought from a retailer? I can personally get a DVD anywhere from 14 to 30 days prior to street date and at no cost.

Those of us who also live there, myself included, know that not only does aXXo not re-code scene releases, but that he has sources unbeknownst to the public. He releases movies that just hit theatres, or as such. His movies are superb, and if you knew anything, you’d know that aXXo lives on http://www.darksiderg.com, and that his movies are far superior to anything Diamond or any other releaser could ever do in 700MB.
There is a simple way for him NOT to get in trouble and that is to post his method of ripping, everone will flood the internet with piracy like the music industry and nothing can be done about it. There would be no reason to prosecute him because everyone would need to go to jail and that wont happen.
