Tonight we will take a look at a matial arts film trilogy from Thailand. The first released film (based on the story timeline, this should be the last), “Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior”, was directed by Prachya Pinkaew, featured stunt choreography by Panna Rittikrai and starred Tony Jaa. Ong-Bak proved to be Jaa’s breakout film, with the actor hailed internationally as the next major martial-arts star.

Ong Bak: The Thai Warrior

When a sacred Buddha statuette called Ong-bak is stolen from Ting’s (Tony Jaa) village by a shady businessman intent on realizing a profit from his ill-gotten gain, Ting takes it upon himself to reclaim the pilfered religious treasure by following the trail of clues to Bangkok. And Ting’s the right man for the job, as he possesses an impressive array of Muay Thai fighting skills that can lay out all his adversaries.

Ong Bak 2: The Beginning

Tien (Tony Jaa), the son of Lord Sihadecho — a tragically murdered nobleman — goes under the wing of Chernang (Sorapong Chatree), a renowned warrior and leader of the Pha Beek Krut who teaches Tien a variety of deadly fighting styles. Now a master of weapons and combat, Tien seeks out those who slayed his family. Jaa also directs and Sarunyu Wongkrachang co-stars in this martial arts thriller set in 15th-century Thailand.

Ong Bak 3: The Final Battle

Ong Bak 3 picks up where Ong Bak 2 had left off. Tien is captured and almost beaten to death before he is saved and brought back to the Kana Khone villagers. There he is taught meditation and how to deal with his Karma, but very soon his arch rival returns…

The 720p BluRay PACK of this film trilogy was released by group MELiTE, BestHD and aAF, each in 1 DVD-5 size with DTS audio. English subtitle is muxed in the videos ofc. I hope you like it.

    Ong Bak 1 was awesome, Ong Bak 2 was pretty cool too, but had nothing to do with the first and had a darker tone overall.
    Ong Bak 3 was awful though, hardly had any fighting (Jaa was recovering from injuries half the movie) and was more entertaining to laugh at than to watch for cool fight scenes. And that scene at the end with the spear – I don’t want to give it away but it uses a really obviously bad cut from one shot to the next and they don’t match at all.
