One Missed Call CAM XViD-TeAmQCT

One Missed CallOK guys, one more… this time its horror movie “One Missed Call”, brought to us in CAM quality by group TeAmQCT. I have to say, you would expect a movie starring two relatively known actors such as Ed Burns and Shannyn Sossamon to be at least decent. Not so the case with “One Missed Call”, which has flunked out horribly in the eyes of viewers who gave this an average of 3/10 on IMDB. Ouch. In any case, the sample shows that the quality of the release is OK for a CAM. So you could give this a shot, if you really like sub-par remakes of Japanese horror movies.

Note: Nuked for being undersized.

Synopsis: What will it sound like when you die? In “One Missed Call,” a chain of people receive terrifying cell phone messages of their own final fatal moments. Though the messages can be deleted, their number is up. Beth Raymond (Shannyn Sossamon) is traumatized when she witnesses the gruesome deaths of two friends just days apart. Even more disturbing, she knows that both of them had received chilling cell phone messages-actual recordings of their own horrifying last moments. Impossibly, the calls were received days before they died, but each death occurred precisely when and how the messages foretold. The police think Beth is delusional-except for Detective Jack Andrews (Edward Burns) whose own sister was killed in a freak accident that bears a strange similarity to the deaths of Beth’s friends.

Hollywood remake Japaneses horror flicks because it’s easy and takes no thought, just cast American actors as replacements… I heard A Rumor that Sarah Michelle (Queen Remake) Geller is working on a version or was approached to do a remake of the Japanese classic Audition… Which if it is true, unlike the original in the vomit eating scene… it will be fake vomit… and poor acting…

With all the movies before the official synopsis, you all give your thoughts on the movie as well as the quality of the movie. I like that! You say OK for a cam? I can handle OK! Thanx…can’t wait for the better quality versions, but for the small rapidshare fee…. I can’t complain.

I saw this movie in the theater, its horrible! But looking at the samples, this is a VERY good quality CAM. The picture is clear and since I saw it at the theater *sighs* unfortunately, i can tell its good.

@1—King Kong, Transformers, and others were remakes SO WHAT! Get over it PEOPLE! If they can improve it.. so be it! Sorry I’ve never heard of the Asian movie.. And if I had I wouldn’t want to watch a foreign movie and read subtitles.. Keep bringing it Hollywood!

Offtopic, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

The first episode of Torchwood season 2 was released by FOV.
Not sure if this group is scene friendly or plays by the rules, but I don’t honestly care. :p

What were people expecting from this movie, and how could you not tell that it was garbage from the trailer? Just listen to this premise “you get a voicemail and when you listen to it, it your voice screaming as you die, then you die” …….riiiiiight honestly this is worse than the Grudge if that is even possible.

Japanese horror can only be summarized as “not scary, not entertaining”, actually the entire genre of horror flicks is generally terrible. To make a good horror film you have to have impeccable acting, writing, setting, AND effects which happens like once every 5 years. For every “SAW 1″ or “The Ring”, or “Blair Witch Project” there are tons of crap films. There is WAY too much focus on sensationalism and gore in the genre and far too little focus on what really makes a movie scary which is good writing and good acting.

I was a huge horror film fan when i was a kid, but i have come to the realization that most horror movies these days are for just that; kids. I would love to watch a really scary movie, but the terrible writing and acting in most horror flicks creeps me out more than the story. All you see these days is Japanese remakes, and torture flicks. Someone really bad ass like the Coen Brothers need to do a good horror flick, because right now the genre is dead.

OK hikaricore i stand corrected Hollywood has produced 1 decent Japanese horror remake. That leaves them at 1 for 5 in the last 5 years as the Grudge, Grudge 2, The Ring 2, and Dark Water were all horrific….. in a bad way.

lmao at the ‘try it if you like sub-par Asian remake films’. I think the only one I’ve liked is The Ring. I’m really worried about the A Tale of Two Sisters remake. It’s in my top horror films category so I’m more against it then I would be for any other film.

There’s nothing wrong with Japanese horror movies. I personally like them. I saw the Jap version of The Eye and it is very good. Why do the US have to take a good movie, put their little spin on it and pass it off as if they came up with the idea is beyond me. Check out the original Dark Water, Pyrokenisis,The Eye 2. Those are truly good Jap movies. Leave it to the US to ruin a good thing and wonder why we’ve turned to downloading movies such as this one.

IMO every remake they’ve made from asian movies is plain bad, even The Ring n Transformers (my personal opinion)as they tend to overcomplicated things n just leave a good storyline behind, the originality of the creator’s ideas n the way the story developed are definitely left behind , the only thing we can see is this is they are trying to make everything into the “american-version” of …, much like football, in comparison to the rest of the world rite??

do yourself a faver and don’t bother, this is a remake of a takashi miike film, the original ain’t all that great, beacause the storyline is just crap, and only a slight variation of every teen killer supernatural film ever made.

but it will be better then this, and better quality.

Take a look at Rotten Tomatoes — 0%. Seriously, 0%. Even Ishtar got 19%. As much as I hate critics that has to be an omen.

Though I suppose movies aren’t about being good, it’s about pandering to the masses, and from the looks of the posts in this board there’s a lot of money to be made. I’ve gone from having faith in people to having faith in making money off people.

Oh Ed Burns, why. Maybe I answered it already.
