Olympic Games Opening Ceremony Beijing 2008 HDTV XViD-PiX

Finally the opening ceremony got released. I already watched it yesterday, and I still don’t know why it wasn’t released earlier. Anyways, this is the HDTV release. The quality is the same like a 350mb TV show. I hope the 720p version will come soon, because there were a lot of spectacular things in Beijing! I suggest you decide for yourself by watching the sample.

*EDIT: NUKED: 2.1gb.avi.files.not.allowed.must.be.split.into.700mb.cds.with.15mb.or.20mb.rars . Quality is just fine, but it should have been splitted into different CD’s. Well….

UPDATE: Beijing.Olympics.2008.Opening.Ceremony.720p.HDTV.x264-ORENJi is out now (4.92 GB)

Hopefully next year the British put in some of their humour into the ceremonies. Or something for the children. Like Winnie the Pooh.
This was ok, well done, worth watching, but overly artistic. And everyone knows the inventions the Chinese made anyhow so why bother making a show of those.
Would have been humorous to re-enact the huge Chinese fleet which would have taken over the world - and the scrapping of it.

What’s so special about the olympics?

    Seems over-rated, over-glamorized, etc.

@16: not just u, except for the Chinese, most people think this open ceremony was really boring. And if u compare it with latest 5 olympic ceremonies, it’s the worst.

It’s 2008, I was hoping to see something amazing made by the Chinese since I’ve been hearing much about this huge country and their success in economic, lately but I was totally disappointed and felt asleep when I watched this on HDTV. It wasn’t like Sydney 2008 in which you could see incredible performances using awesome technology, the Chinese seemed to be lack of cool stuff and idea, they must have spent a lot of money on firework, which can’t impress us much, today. On the other hand, they tried to impress us by the number of people performing but if you saw Greece 2004, this year was so much worse.

I’d recommend download this if you’re curious and just free all day. But I’d bet when u watch this, you will skip & skip and delete it immediately after finishing..

  50. ehsan
    August 9th, 2008 | 12:44

the ceremony was over-rated I meant.
Other materials are just sports. The ceremony was an exposure of Chinese ancient culture which was presented by the latest thecs.
That is Interesting I guess.isn’t it.

This was nuked because it wasn’t split?

For a scene that is obviously breaking established rules, you have too many internal rules. Get a sense of freedom again and you might become viable. Until then this scene, and by extension this website, have become obsolete.

It’s amazing what has come out of our cultures.. can’t forget the ever-ruling ottoman empire. The united states and canada are just a combination of everyone from outside. that place belongs to the native indians to be honest..but lets not start that issue now. ;) But, can’t go wrong with the middle east, all prize possessions are here, noah’s ark, jesus was born here, mary died here, the ark of the convenant.

Dig up some of the states and you find old indian arrows…how does that go for culture?

Nuked for not being split into small RAR’s? What a lame rule. This is the present man, no one posts stuff to each other like they did when the scene first started… We have 1000’s GB of HDD space, why bother making super small RAR’s?
