Old movies on RLSLOG

Some of you have seen that I have been very busy with RLSLOG the last days and I have also added some old movies. Some people like this old stuff on RLSLOG and some don’t. I’m not searching the Internet for old movies so I can post them here on RLSLOG. There are some Scene Groups that bring out Retail DVDRip’s everyday and I thought choosing some good old stuff would be good once while we also have many young readers on this website. People who know me from the beginning know that I’m a movie freak and that’s why I would like to share it with you. I have posted 3 movies till now and I think that the films that have been posted are way better than the latest new DVDRip’s of the last days. People who have seen the movies can just pass the post or even re-check the movie if they think they would like to see it again.

Edit: A new category was made “DVDRiP Old” where the old movies will be added so people will not bebothered with the feed system. Samples will not be included but be sure that the quality of this DVDRip’s is good!

I think a lot of those who do luv movies want to share with those who enjoy movies but may of missed out on some old ones. If they complain will then it’s their loss. Thanks for opening up a new area as there is at least 40 plus years of old movies that are still worth watching. If Robert Rodriquez and Quintin Tarentino are paying homage to the old movie (grind house)… people will enjoy the films because of the film makers style but will not have a good understanding of what the directors are paying homage to.

Nice idea. In the past month I’ve downloaded quite a few movies from more than 2 to 10 years old. Only a few good movies come out every month so it’s better to download a good old movie instead of a crappy new one like Epic Movie.

I agree Thomas, I’m doing this the past 2 years, watching also old movie!

I like that idea, too - especially scene releases of older movies. But be careful if you’re uploading internals here, like that Gangs of New York or the Face/off release. These come from PAL sources and PAL has the obnoxious characteristic of being played faster than the original movie was intended to. Most people don’t care about that, but IMHO this is quite annoying.

you in US have 23.9… something and we here watch the movie in 25fps…

the length is the same, we just have 1 more frame each second :P

    not realy Mike
technical details show quite diferent results:
Because most of available and new movies is from US (not all, but Hollywood is still king of movie bussiness)and because standard for theatres from begining of movie industry is 23.976fps… Ok, new digital cameras can use others too, but this is estabilished as standard…..

let’s make things shorter and cleaner…
pal movies is nothing more than ntsc movies (with removed dupe frames 29.970 -> 23.976, called as ivtc) speed up to 25.000fps
if you look closely you will see that all PAL version of NTSC movies have both (video & audio) playing a bit quicker (shorter playing time) for amount of % that is difference between 23.976 and 25.000
this is small % and barely noticable.. but it’s HERE

    havent noticed anything

    get same movie….
or order DVD from USA, and order same movies, but from EU
    and compare pal & ntsc

you will find that PAL version have a bit shorter playing time…

it’s because (in most cases) of 25fps (over 23.976fps)…

doesn’t matter :D i think im used to 23.9… now I only watch DVDRips. some months ago I was watching DVD PAL retails from the video club

i dont have any problem with the versions

I noticed it most when I wanted to compare iNCiTEs two internal James Bond releases with each other. The new one with the improved picture was the Ultimate Edition, unfortunately it came from a PAL source - while the time difference was annoying due to making frame by frame comparison impossible it was the pitch of the voices that bothered me most. Pierce Brosnan sounded like a faggot in Goldeneye.

Living in a PAL country myself I never noticed that before, too - but ever since that day I could never watch a movie in PAL without asking myself how it’d sound in its original speed.

I have a long time not to play silkroad. Sometimes my friends want to send me silkroad gold, I tell them I can’t play it for the moment. But I always remind of it at some free time. It seems like a feeling of attachment.
