Number 23 SCR XViD-mVs
Guys from mVs continue to shine above all other TS/SCR groups while they released a new screener of The Number 23, a nice mysterious thriller with Jim Carrey in the main role. It’s little sad it too so long for this movie from first cams to this screener, the movie is screened for almost 4 months now so one would expect a fine dvdrip instead. Anyway, this is a very nice screener with little dark but clear and sharp almost-fullscreen image.
One more note about the NFO included in this release. People in mVs are obviously in a good mood when they wrote this: ” Its your favourite torrent grp, with another great torrent release. We dedicate this great torrent release to all the torrent scene. Isnt sarcasm fantastic ? If you feel you need to take this nfo seriously, we laugh at you. ho ho ho.” Nice one.

In Joel Schumacher’s psychological thriller THE NUMBER 23, Jim Carrey takes on another dramatic role. Carrey’s character is similar to his roles in THE TRUMAN SHOW and ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND: he portrays an average man thrust into quite extraordinary situations after a series of strange events cause him to question everything he’s ever taken for granted. On his birthday, Walter Sparrow is given a mysterious and tattered book called THE NUMBER 23 by his loving wife, Agatha (Virginia Madsen). As Walter reads the book, he quickly notices its alarming similarities to his own life. Rather than stop reading, he continues, unknowingly inviting the book to take over his life.

The deeper Walter gets into the plot, the more he sees himself in its protagonist, Fingerling, whom we see through highly stylized sequences in which Carrey appears as the seedy detective character. Madsen is also present in these scenes, cast as Fingerling’s pain-loving girlfriend Fabrizia. As Fingerling and Fabrizia’s love affair inches towards its fiery conclusion, we learn the role the number 23 has played in their story and will play in Walter’s future if he cannot keep his growing obsession with it at bay. While Carrey and Madsen are adept at playing a man gone mad and a headstrong wife in crisis, they are most fascinating as their dark counterparts, and Schumacher succeeds in creating a truly intoxicating noirish underworld of sex and death through those sequences.

sounds like a darker version of the movie stranger than fiction……….
rofl yeah i guess so aye.. stranger then fiction was so funny lol
Thanks! I actually saw that movie a month ago on the big screen, it wasnt all that … kinda boring if you ask me.
Jim Carrey is in it? Must be a comedy!
Have scanned through the movie. Audio is in sync. Video is very slightly dark, nothing major. Never noticed any usual screener overlays, but they may be there. I have only done a quick scan. Seems to me like a worthwhile download.
FINALLY ! xD
and # 6 – Thanks for the info. Much Appreciated
#6 Gerry

The first picture above reminded me of an ageing “hippy”looking Michael Douglas…or should that read …”reminded me of how Michael Douglas would look minus his cosmetic surgery…”….!!!

And I love the NFO.
About time there was a decent torrent for this. Just like “The Prestige”, it really seemed to take forever. A shame, that one. Thanks muchly for the notice, and the comment on quality.
To #3, Jazza:
How could you say ‘Stranger than Fiction’ was a comedy? Only curious.
What the hell is with those release groups and p2p like torrent? If they dont want to see the releases there, then why do them!?

Thanks i really appreciate the direct link. saves me a lot of time and uploading. Only if they were all that easy.
Also @ RealDeaL do you think you could direct link dead silence SCR please.
I think the statement in the nfo means that they laugh at the torrent scene… read the nfo carefully, not just first two lines. They say: “isn’t SARCASM fantastic, anyone who takes this nfo seriously, we laugh at you!”
The scene DOESNT release for the torrent scene, they are the consequence of leaks in the release scene! Don’t you guys get it?
direct link completed download is corrupt…
It is a screener, I downloaded it becuase it looked ok to me.
yeah i figured that out said rar was damaged
why do they only rls to the scene. who is the scene. do they have other films that havent been leaked for example like a SCR of spiderman 3 or other movies.

Did anybody else get glitches on this screener? I got some glitches on it after converting to dvd .. not a lot just enough to be bothersome.
Dear Welitis,
“glitches after converting (AVI) to DVD”?
Your question is almost pointless as long as you don’t mention the software that you’ve used to transcode the AVI.
AVIs come in a multitude of flavours, concerning every aspect of the Audio/Video Interleaved file.
Here’s some hearsay: NERO’s own audio- and/or video en-/decoder DLLs are supposed to be error prone – introducing especially A/V-synchronization issues when transcoding/authoring AVI to DVD. Other tools get recommended. I don’t have firsthand experience here.
Good luck
