Numb 2007 DVDSCR XviD-VoMiT
VoMiT bring out a DVDScr of what looks to be a fairly interesting release from Canada and the US. Numb stars Matthew Perry who most of you will probably recognize as Chandler from the popular TV show Friends. The idea behind the film sounds as cliché as you can get, but the IMDB ratings look really promising, so this might very well be worth a watch.
Quality: The video quality of this release looks great. Crisp video image at 906kb/s bitrate. Audio is what you’d expect at 130kb/s VBR mp3. There are occasional screener messages, but apart from that this could just as well be a DVDRip.
Screenwriter Hudson Milbank suffers from acute depersonalization disorder. So alienated from his own life that he makes the chronically depressed look perky, Hudson lives alone, watches The Golf Channel all day, can’t hang on to a relationship, shoplifts in order to get his adrenalin up off the floor, fears that thinking about his dad’s death will bring it to pass, loathes his mother, and in general, is as nutty as a crapshack in a peanut farm. Obsessed with the underlying sadness that infuses his wretched existence, Hudson is a man in hell, but he thinks that his long catalog of dismally unsatisfying and mutually self-destructive relationships is over when SARA stumbles into his life.

Thank you all mightily for the RS links. As a sufferer of depression (or some exotic variant thereof they keep thinking up) I’ll find this very interesting. Never heard of this particular condition before.

I think the majority of people who are addicted to downloading films, feel like the lead character of this film.
Imagine getting to the age of 60, and realising all you’ve done in your life is sit in front of your computer.
The best solution for you, is to turn the computer off for a good 2 weeks. and encourage yourself to find other activities, where you can meet real people, and build upon a social environment.
Watching this film, is not going to help you the way you hope it will.

2 warnings -
1 the images go in black & white during the screener messages (they’re not that often though & only last about 20 seconds each)
2 there’s a glitch at the end - one of the last scenes is repeated, & then cuts in to the middle of a fairly key scene, don’t miss much of the story, but lose some of the atmosphere …
other than that, good film .. wish I’d waited for a better version tho!

Winrar says “wrong password” with a question mark and possible part 5 corruption. Does anyone else have this problem? I’m sure I’m using the right password (http://irfree.com). You’re right, it does skip at about 85 minutes in, but you don’t miss much movie time. Glad to see it wasn’t just something wrong on my end.

Hi, Re: My posting. I found out the problem…if anyone cares…Part 5 of the rar file downloaded incompletely at 50 percent. I deleted it and went to rapidshare, downloaded Part 5 and the movie extracted perfectly. Hope this helps others..

it was weird to see Matthew parrey play a depressed role, but he delivered a very good performance, i enjoyed this movie more than i thought i would, id check it out.

First, theres a pretty dang annoying skip at the end. Should be nuked for this alone.
Second, the poster who said this was a mislabeled R2 should be shot for being a moron. Clearly its a dvd screener…unless the “for screening purposes only” scenes are just a mass illusion by everyone who watches this.
Third, its a good movie. Anyone who thinks Perry was hamstrung by friends must have forgotten all the other movies he’s done….Whole Nine Yards, Whole Ten Yards, Three To Tango, Fools Rush In, and his other tv appearances like The West Wing, Ally McBeal, Scrubs and Studio 60. Of all the friends actors him and Jennifer Aniston are the only 2 who’ve really show any ongoing talent.
This movie, is definately worth watching. Hell, i’m nearly convinced i have the condition he has in the movie.

I hired this movie out from my local video store on the weekend, I live in Australia.
Guess the release date in the nfo is for the North America, maybe? wonder why it got released quicker here?
Movie was ok, slightly better then I was expecting and a lot better then the other movie I hired out “Gabriel” that was crap.
Good movie, was better than I thought it would be. Pity about the glitch near the end. Worth a watch as it’s more than a time filler
I must just say I dont think its at all appropriate to put remarks like the 1st one on here about anything. Fair play to you who feel the need to share such negative opinions on a film ONCE YOU HAVE SEEN IT but otherwise please let us all judge for ourselves!!! Matthew Perry is a great actor and considering IMDB has rated this film around the 7 mark I cant imagine Matthew being that terrible an actor in this one!
